Hatton has to knock out Mayweather. Mayweather is the best boxer in the sport and one the best counter punchers. Mayeather will land more punches. He has been 12 rounds more times and is the most adaptable fighter in the game. Mayweather can outpoint him. Pressure alone cant do it.....Effective Pressure is the key. If he shortens up his punches and has success inside he has a shot at it, but Mayweather has a better chance.

This guy is ****ing nuts if he thinks the best boxer in the sport can't outpoint him....classic. Come Dec 8th this statement will blow up in his face as PBF gives him a boxing lesson.

I like his attitude but he seems to forget that, Castillo was 15-20 pound heaver then floyd and floyd on paper was still just a 130 pound fighter when he fought Castillio.. Hatto can't expect the same results from a bigger, Stronger more mature Floyd.

well in his last 4 fights, all for world titles he's ko'd maussa with 1 punch who has a very good chin, and ko'd castillo with 1 punch inside 4 rounds, a boxer who'd never been down before in 63 fights.

People kill me with this pressure alone is what will beat PBF. For the last time Pressure alone won't beat PBF. Is pressure a part of it yes but you need more than that. A prime Castillo was a much better pressure fighter than Hatton ever was he never looked for the clinch like Hatton does and try and fight off of it like Hatton does. First you need to be a southpaw, second long reach, third a good jab, fourth good stamina, fifth good speed, sixth good workrate, seventh good pop and eight good footwork. All these factors combined will get the job done. The only fighter at 147 that has most of these attributes is Paul Williams a stylistic nightmare for PBF. Hatton only has good stamina, good body work and I guess you could say a good workrate when he's not clinching. I can't say it enough Hatton's lack of a jab, short arms and poor defense are things you can't overlook in this fight. He won't be able to cut off the ring against someone who can fight off his back foot and move and show angles the way PBF can period. Hatton has never seen this in the ring and when he does he'll be shcoked he got a taste with Collazo but PBF is on a different level. Just ask Oscar how hard it is to hit PBF cleanly and he's 2x the fighter Hatton is. PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Hatton he's better than him in almost every single department. PBF by UD or late round TKO and like I've said before don't bet against PBF.:deal

Dumbest thing ever posted on ESB.:-( If anyone is one-dimensional in this fight it's Hatton.

Neither man is one dimensional. Hatton is much more than just a brawler, he boxes very well when he needs too. He boxed excellently in the first 5 rounds against Juan Urango did he not? Against guys like Ben Tackie and Eamon Magee he showed great variety by starting out slugging it, but reverting to boxing to seal the win over very tough opponents. He hasn't got as far as he as by being one-dimensional.

I've said it before, but Floyd is likely to win this, but he'll gonna have to work for it, because Hatton is the real ****ing deal and he WILL push him hard all the way through the fight.

did you see the sheer direspect that pbf showed at those 5 press conferences?

i felt embarrassed for floyd. he simply behaves like a 6 year old. hatton is only showing his confidence and talking up his chances. floyds dis respect runs much, much, much deeper.

he's a great boxer but a very poor person.

I think Hatton is in for a surprise coem fight time. I see Floyd not going backwards like Ricky thinks, possibly with Mayweather taking centre of the ring, making Hatton miss, then countering.

I think there's too much emphasis from the Hatton camp on Floyd going backwards most of the time. I don't think this will be the case. Floyd is more than capable of not running, & countering his opponent's shots.

I hope Ricky will have a few game plans as just preparing for Floyd to move backwards all the time would be foolish.

Hatton cannot afford to be wild or waste many punches as Mayweather is very precise with his shots, doesn't waste many punches etc. Ricky saying his heart will explode, one get's the feeling that he could the adrenalin rush & become careless. That, if it happens, could be Hatton's downfall.

Head, upper-body movement should be worked on by Ricky. Mayweather may not be renowned as a big puncher, but Hatton cvannot afford to take the same amount of shots as he did say, against Collazo. If the amount is similar, then Floyd will appear to be hittnig the target nearly every time.

One senses Ricky is confident & now doubt, Billy Graham, should, knowing Billy, come up with some good strategies. Putting those strategies into practice against a figther as good as Floyd is an entirely different proposition though!

While I certainly don't believe Mayweather can't outpoint Hatton, because he clearly could, I think this is a very healthy mindset for Hatton. He needs to be prepared to win a decision, going into a fight and banking on a stoppage usually leads to mentally giving up on rounds and not thinking they matter because you will eventually get the KO anyway, which is just no a sound gameplan.
