Hatton: "I Don't Think Pacquiao Is Quicker Than Malignaggi"

Malignaggi looked more worried than any other boxer i've seen in a ring that night. He could hit Khan 100 times and he'd walk through it. Seriously though Hatton couldn't fail to look good against him that night. It's easy to look like a good boxer when there's absolutely nothing coming back at you. Pacquiao hits harder than Malignaggi has better lateral movement, faster hands and feet. Hatton will be having fits after round 4. If hatton has any chance of winning this fight he needs to lose the plot and the earlier he does it the better. He has no chance of outboxing Pacquiao and will be schooled if he tries. He has to out hustle him. Hit whilst being held, beat those arms/shoulders of Pacquiao. Get in those little rabbit punches, use his elbows etc etc. He will not do this until he's getting outboxed for some reason so the sooner this happens the better for him. Unfortunately though I still dont see this being enough this is all wrong for the Hitman.

Yep, the only chance for Hatton to win is to realize he is in with the quickest puncher in boxing today with perhaps the best footwork.

I think Hatton has a chance of winning but he has to be honest with himself or else Pac wins.

I agree. Hatton needs to put his head down, ram it into Pac's chest, hold him, and drive him back against the ropes. Then he can start letting his hands go. Trying to fight in the center of the ring against Pac will equal doom.

 

There are certain times in fights Pac made against Morales where he closes the gap/distance between himself and his opponent so quickly that I have to keep rewinding to see how fast he does it. It is so lightning quick that it is almost invisible. That's how damn fast Pac can be. Faster than a damn lens.

 

there are times in Pac vs Oscar when he lands a punch and you'd think he was fighting a smaller fighter with a reach disadvantage. It like how the hell did that punch get all the way over there?

 

There was a video clip posted before where pac throw a straight left then right hook then step back.....It only took LESS THAN A SECOND....

 

this is dangerous talk comparing pac to malignaggi. in that fight malignaggi fought with one hand, he didnt move, he didn't throw combinations. he didn't do f### all. his performance was worst than delahoya, because oscar had weight issues. pac will be stronger faster throw combinations and use his speed. anyone that thinks you can gauge the pac fight by comparing it to the malignaggi fight is delusional, hence hatton you are delusional.
