Hatton - I over trained

As much as Freddy Roach annoys me he called exactly the way they'd knock Hatton out from the moment the fight was signed. I dont think over training was your problem, Ricky.

 

Have you seen the state of the fat ****, he looks like a fat alchy. What a disgrace if I was his bird id tell him to sort himself out, theres being vain then theres being respectable.

 

I dont mean this disrespectfully but thats bollocks to be honest. People seem to conviniently forget now that roach admitted the only reason he said it would be over quick was to get under Mayweathers skin and he actually expected Manny to break him down late on in the fight. I know it doesnt make too much differnece, but it winds me up how Roach is seen as this great predictor, yet he was actually taking the ****:roll:

IMO as an infamous hatton hater back in the day who ranked just behind Betty & Scurla at one point(high praise indeed!)

I said on here before the Pac fight that Mayweather snr was ****ing Hatton up, in fact i shouted it from the rooftops. That old clown stripped Ricky bare, overtrained him, knocked hell out of him & left him in bad shape by Hattons previous standards, its fashionable to laugh at Ricky nowadays, but the man has a point. Proper boxing fans know that Hatton was always up against it, but when Mayweather snr trained him, Hatton turned from plucky underdog into no-hoper.

Im just shocked that Hattons family didnt step in sooner to fire the old chancer, its one of those great mysteries IMO how the Hattons with all their money hung onto Mayweather snr so long, when it was obvious that he was all wrong for Hatton from day one.

 

Seriously when are the excuses going to stop? I thought it was Ricky in the ring not Mayweather Snr. It wouldnt have mattered if Clubber lang was training him the boy just isnt an elite fighter point blank. He simply doesnt have the ability the brains the style or the talent to hang with the best fighters in the world. If he did he wouldnt get blown away in humiliating fashion and then cite a myriad of excuses after the event. Face it Ricky you suck.

 

He looked pretty horrible punching the bag there.

The problem was Ricky thinking he was bigger than Manny. After all the technical training he did, in the pre-fight interviews he would talk about his new skills, but by the end would always come back to how he was bigger and stronger than Manny, and Manny had never fought someone as big as him. It was obvious how Hatton was going to fight. The truth is that after fighting the bigger Floyd for 10 rounds he thought Manny would be a pushover.

Lee Beard did far more damage than Floyd snr did in encouraging that way of thinking..

 

So what?

Are you deeply hurt at what he says or something?

The majority of fighters make excuses for loses, always have, always will, especially if they are fighting again - they have to, to convince themselves they can win.

 

I think Hatton generally talks a load of shite, that's why I never watch or read his interviews, but cricky.........



I'm English myself, he doesn't overly bother me.
