He said he doesnt want to come back and fight any weak fighter. either a world champion or a top 10 pound for pound fighter....depending on how that performance goes will decide if he retires or not Any of the light welterweight champs if they want hatton all they gotta do is make the call I see a Hatton vs Bradley fight in the summer
man even little Marquez might be able to stop him at best it'll be an embaressing boxing clinic , at worst an absolute ****ing destruction Ricky has lost the things that mde him good , he's an accident waiting to happen now !
A fight with JMM would be an interesting clash of styles and in my view it would produce a great fight.
In Hatton you have a swarming fighter whos stamina has seriously depleted and whos chin has deteriorated. So he can no longer take one to give one , and he doesnt work flat out because he can't anymore What the **** is he going to do ?
He took a flush power shot which he didn't see coming right on the sweet spot from one of the hardest hitters in his weight region. That **** can happen to anyone (see Lewis-Rahmann I and a host of others). In fact, one of the main points of boxing is not allowing your opponent to land that fight-ending haymaker. I don't know how you can be so certain about the 'chin has deteriorated' stuff. Maybe it has; maybe it hasn't; I haven't seen enough from him to know for sure yet. Hatton vs. JMM would be a very decent fight, I think.
Hatton-Bradley makes a ton of sense. If Tim's serious about wanting to be considered amongst Floyd and Pac, the shortest route to get him on his way to that is to outclass Ricky Hatton the same way they did, and Hatton offers him a big payday. A win for Hatton gets him right back on top of 140 in one shot vs the undefeated titlist.
id like to see hatton v marquez at madison square garden, he hasnt headlined there before (he did state he cud fight once more after this, so finish in england after) then finish his career against amir khan at wembley stadium, could even have a second fight against him in Manchester
Exactly my point, all tho i would right off Hatton if I was you lot. I certainly think Hatton still has it in him to cbeat any 140 fighter bar pacquaio but if bradley wants to be a huge star, then go for Hatton, in my opinion the boxer with the biggest fan base. Beat Hatton and he will instantly be recognised in the top 10, possibly 5 in pound for pound
He'll eat the over-rated Bradley up, thats who I would be after if I was him, the guy beat an end-of-career Witter whos dad had just died and who? Nobody thats who! Bradley is so over-rated its unbelieveable.
