The 30-year-old IBO light-welterweight champion said: "I think my size will make a difference. "Manny beat Oscar De La Hoya in his last fight but, with all due respect to my friend and promoter, I think anyone could have beaten him that night. "Oscar got in the ring at 147lbs but I'll be 154. I'll be the biggest fighter Manny has ever faced." WTF? What the hell is this? Psychological warfare? If Hatton weighs in at 140 lbs, which he will have to without a single lb above. He thinks he's gonna gain 14 lbs (1 stone) by fight time? If I'm not mistaken the official weigh in is only 24 hours between then and fight time, no? Surely this is madness. Won't he be bloated? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/boxing/article2297179.ece
i just think eating that much in such short space of time would work against himself. Hatton would be dieing for a dump in between every rounds. Hope Mayweather warns him about this.
around 154 is what he always weighs on fight night. He always rehydrates himself to the 150's. He was around 154 for the Mayweather fight and the Malignaggi fight. He was 160 for the Collazo fight.
yeh but vs mayweather the fight was at 147 so he didnt gain that much. No wonder he looked dodgy vs Collozo
The collazo fight he just made weight the wrong way. But for all of his 140 fights he always weighs around the same like 154 so yeah its true he will be the biggest man Manny has fought. I wonder how much Manny will weigh the day of the fight? probably like 147-149.
nothing wrong with that. happens all the time. and he's right about size being the difference. hatton will be much stronger than pac
I once gained 10 pounds in one week eating cheesecake and these mudderfuggas do it less than a day! Unbelieveable.
