Ricky Hatton has fired the latest salvo in his war of words with Floyd Mayweather by claiming he is the American's "worst nightmare".

In the wake of Hatton's fourth-round stoppage of Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas last weekend, barbs have flown back and forth between the two camps.

The latest came from 'Pretty Boy' Mayweather, who claimed on Friday that Hatton was "a hell of a wrestler - punch, hold, punch, hold".

But the Mancunian responded after touching down back on English soil, saying: "I am Floyd's worst nightmare. He likes to sit on his ropes and do that rope-a-dope type of stuff. I'll stay on his chest and punch away all night long.
"I think I'll be the first man to beat him."

Hatton's promoter Dennis Hobson has offered Mayweather $10million to come to Britain for a superfight with his man, but the 'Hitman' claims he is happy to make the fight anywhere just to get it on.

He said: "It could be in Manchester at the City of Manchester City or at the new Wembley or we could even go back to the States. I'm not too bothered.

"For all his confidence he doesn't want to come over here to fight me."

Uhhhh doesnt he realize he is the CHALLENGER...he doesnt get to say where it is.....and 10 million dollars????????????????? He just made 20.....Hatton is just outpricing himself because he knows Floyd wont fight for that no champion of that staure would.

Another thing when Floyd fought Oscar he did whatever Oscar wanted...purse, weight, gloves, and even ring size...why is this so hard for Hatton?????

floyd didnt make 20 cuz of Floyd, he made it cuz of Oscar:good

Now?? What the hell is Floyd's oFFER??? It aint better than 10 million or they'd be laughing at Hatton. If they are going to counter with better numbers?? The world awaits.......................................................

This fight should indeed happen and Hatton is willing to go/do wherever but would prefer the UK which would provide the crowd and stage that the GREATS have experienced. Of course, floyd hasnt yet, because he hasnt fought the best and has ben limited to the legend of his mind, to this point.

Persoally, i dont care where it happens, all i hope is that BOTH fighters get paid a hansom ransom and that the LEGACY of both fighters isnt denied the opportunity TO PROVE THEIR SALT!!!!!!
It's not about OPINION of what happens, ITS ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE BELL RINGS THAT COUNTS!!!!!!!

As for the money issue, people don't seem to understand that it's all a bidding war. Hatton's team have taken the unusual step of stating their first offer publicly, presumably to build early hype for the fight.

Since Mayweather will want to get the fight in America, he'll be countering with his own offers. They'll probably end up with something around $15-20 million, depending on just how keen each party is.

That $10 million offer wasn't a serious offer, Hatton doesn't even have a promoter so how could it be? That was just a number they threw out there to get people's attention...

If he's Floyd's worst nightmare he should accept ASAP to fight him in November, without tuneups or ****.

Man it took TWO fighters to get that money....Oscar no doubt was premiere...but Floyd did his job in promoting and selling as well...in fact witout Floyd's antics.....i dont think they break those records. Floyd made people WANT to see ODH knock him out...come on man you gotta give credit to where it is due.

Floyd is just too skilled and too fast to get caught enough to lose this.

It will be a good fight to watch, but Hatton doesnt know what he is up against and how good Floyd is.

    Bull****!!!!!!

DLH is/was the money man and the attraction. Floyd capitalized on an older version and got his payday.Floyd isnt a DRAW, hell most cant stand his ass. Hatton will draw far more fans in any location than Floyd. DLH did a million PPV buy's against Mayorga, could floyd??:nonono :nonono :nonono

Hatton will put more asses in seats and draw more PPV buy's than any other man right now and that's THE reason Floyd is discussing a temporary moratorium on retirement. If and when Floyd loses?? He'll hardly draw anyone and that's one of the reasons they have been so selective in crafting his record and NOT FIGHTING THE TOP OPPONENTS. A loss, and the HYPE TRAIN, P4P fans will disappear and they are then left with very little after all the fuss:lol:
