Not a bad interview - a little bit of delusion but not as much as in recent ones from our Ricky.

When he gets past Paulie I suppose we will really see whether he has it in him to be P4P No. 1.

He will never have a better chance - with Calzaghe on the way out it seems and all the other leading contenders around his weight division.

I can't see it happening for him (P4P No.1) but good luck I say :good

Hatton's no longer P4P top 10. He's got no chance of ever attaining P4P no 1. A few years back he was top 5 without question.

"But when I beat Paulie, I've got the chance to become the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world"

"I've won six or seven world titles now in two different weight divisions" :rofl:patsch

I'm too long in the tooth to change, but you're never too long in the tooth to learn." - How the **** does it help if you can't change Ricky?

I'd say this is pretty much an accurate summary of the situation

But fighters take a long time to fall out of the P4P lists so I expect he'll be listed in the top ten until his next loss

If he gets past Paulie and then beats Pacman / Marquez his rating could go higher - very near the top - even as he fades as a fighter

P4P is pretty much bollocks really

Well the Pac fight must be signed already, or JMM :umm One thing - beating the P4P No. 1 doesn't make you the No.1 automatically. Had he done a number on Floyd he would have been No. 1 without question - but Pac isn't really fit to lace Mayweather's boots IMO.

The world title thing is rather old, we have been used to that sort of bull**** for quite some time, not only from Ricky.

I think he may do ok if he actually tries to use his skills, other than footwork and body shots they have been in the dustbin for all but about 8 rounds since Ray Oliveira was counted out.

All this talk about Hatton fighting Pacquiao. Only recently, Ricky stated on Sky Sports he still wants a rematch with Mayweather lol!

Hatton needs to focus on Malignaggi, not fights down the line. If Hatton loses to Paulie, then the projected fights are out the window. If I were Ricky I'd be more concerned with getting in top shape for November, rather than talking about fights next year.

The more I hear stuff like this, the more inclined I am to think Malignaggi will upset the odds here.

Not a chance of Paulie beating Hatton

Would stake every penny I have on it - plus a year's avatar

    You sure?

I think Paulie's going to box his ears off. Quite literally.

    Yep - positive

The guy is a fraud - if he were any nationality other than Yank he would be struggling to get a shot at a regional (Euro/NABF etc) title

I'm more thinking of what state Hatton will be in rather then Pauli. Plus who knows- if Pauli moves, and boxes the style may cause Ricky problems.

Ricky is without Graham, and Kerry for the first time - he's going to be taking new things on board from Mayweather - he's obviously thinking beyond Pauli (which is dangerous). The fight is in the states - he looked ropey last time out, and he's nearly 30 now (excessive boozing starts to really hurt at that age).

Hatton may win, but personally I wouldn't stake everything on it.
