Not to take anything away from Pacman. He proved that he is the pound for pound king bar none. That being said, did anyone realize how flawed a defensive fighter Hatton is? He has little to no head movement and keeps his hands too damn low. When Pac was throwing combos, he seemed totally lost. Tell me what you think.

Pac was just too fast for him. Better defensive fighters than Hatton might still have problems wit a fast puncher like Pac.

He just does not fight smart at all. He kind reminds me of Ray Mancini in that way.

i think freddy pegged hatton perfectly and developed manny to exploit his weeknesses badly...

I think hatton obvious underestimated Mannys power...

    Everyone (I think) knew the
    -fist-shaking before throwing a punch,
-head movement (he doesn't even tuck his chin and Mayweather Sr. sounded, in the corner, like he'd drilled that into Hatton's head as deep as he could)
-and Atlas impression when he charges with arms aloft and staring at his toes,
    were all there.

It's how badly he was affected by even right hooks that floored me. I mean, I knew he wasn't really the bigger man and was pissed off about him being so behind in his training (I really really really wanted this to be competitive.) and... yeah, I had my head up my ass hoping for a stellar performance from him just like tons of other people did (granted, I was only at colon-level while they were up to their own shoulder bones, but still).

Hatton has been open to hooks all the time. It was obvious in the Paulie fight except Paulie couldn't hit, so noone noticed.

I've been saying it for years, Hatton has absoltuley no ring smarts what-so-ever. The only thing he's ever brought intot a fight is aggression and his abilty to get away with wrestling You take away either of the two and he's a gonner.

He should have at least kept his hands up, thats like the first thing you learn when you start boxing.

You can analyze all you want but the main reason Hatton lost all boils down to Teddy Atlas. Yes, he predicted that Hatton will win! :-(

I was shocked to see Hatton's arms so low and his head movement so non existant clearly he threw FMS gameplan out the window.

He seemingly can't even block a punch to save his life.

Mayweather Snr has already stated that Hatton didn't follow the game-plan. He has also said he thinks Ricky should retire now.

He had success with the jab for about 10 seconds and then apparently said **** it and started lunging in.

I was honestly expecting him to be somewhat improved. Not a slick boxer, but using his jab, lateral movement. KEEPING HIS ****ING HANDS UP.

He fought no different at all. He isnt a horrible fighter, but as a style matchup he plays right into Pacquiaos skillset.

Pacquiao is at his best facing punchers that come foward. And with the way Hatton leaves himself open with his head in a fixed line, he was ****ed.

I honestly dont like the part Mayweather Sr played in all this, I believe Hatton would of lost regardless, but I think he was ill prepared and poorly trained.

I think there will still be more to come out about what has went on.
