I'm sure beating Kostya Tszyu ... winning 4 world titles, a lineal championship, and 2-weight class championships is a joke.

    RE: sonofdarkness is a joke

I mean he has no job and writes as if his the world champ. His nothing but a chump, his the most overrated poster i have ever seen. Think back to all those stupid statements/posts he has come out with. And he loves bhop who crys over an imaginary low blow, theres a contradiction for you.

Btw i respect Bhop still as i do all fighters who have the courage to get into the ring. But i don't repect ignorate little sh*tes who think they know it all. Esp when commenting on a fighter who maybe isn't the best (personally for me his still p4p top 10, say like 9 or 10), but a figher who gives it his all for his fans. A double weight champ and although you might think it, 56,000 fans aren't stupid you know.

Its fighters like Hatton even if you don't like his style that you should wish there are more of. Its fighters like him that is keeping your beloved boxing (and mine) alive and kicking :)

He beat Kostya Tszyu because he pretty much was allowed to headbutt, grapple, and maul Tszyu, which isn't boxing. It's more of a stand-up wrestling match than anything else. He also beat Jose Luis Castillo by trying to hug the **** out of him. However, all those who give him credit for beating Castillo fail to mention that Castillo, at that point in his career, was DONE. He was basically a name for Hatton, and you all bought into the hype. Another thing, he may have gotten the nod against Collazo thanks to some incompetent judges, but you'll be hardpressed to find anyone outside of England that believes he actually won that fight. What happened when he stepped up the comp? Well, we all know what happened. Not hating, just stating facts that are there to be seen.

He beat Kostya Tszyu because he made him fight at his pace, something he wasn't used to, and stayed on his chest to take the leverage out of the big right hand.

He was given the nod against Collazo for many reasons:

    1. The knockdown
    2. Workrate
    3. Aggression

Collazo was lazy at times in that fight (12th espec.) which cost him dearly.

He beat Castillo because he was quicker to the punch, and much stronger. Also threw one of the best body shots of this, or any other era. BTW - much of the clinching came from Castillo.

Watch the fights bonehead - don't just read anti-Hatton articles and use them to substantiate your argument.

I do agree that referees did gave Hatton lot of advantages in his 40 fights carrier, when he moved to fight in US all of his fights but 1 (Castilio) where question mark wins, some of them he even lost on my score card

I've always been a Hatton fan and hated to see him knocked out. After seeing Saturday's fight (by accident as it wasn't advertised here) I'm afraid he's right on about thinking of retiring. He just hasn't got it any more and that's a shame because he is fun to watch.

:patsch please tell us which fight's were question marks and which he lost. he won 2 fights by 10 clear rounds and demolished castillo in 4, the only other fight (collazo) was close but was still a UD.

but call him joke it's very disrespectfull and childish
I don’t like Hatton’s style and he is not my favourite fighter but call him joke it's a bit harsh.
The only people who deserved to be called jokes and twats + dickheads are these Hatton fans who disrespect other people National anthems and boo them like brainless ****s

I was suprised that Americans did not smash them up

He beat Kostya Tszyu because he made him fight at his pace, something he wasn't used to, and stayed on his chest to take the leverage out of the big right hand.

Is that what you call it? I bet you think John Ruiz is the purest boxer to ever grace the sport.

He was given the nod against Collazo for many reasons:

    1. The knockdown
    2. Workrate
    3. Aggression

Collazo was lazy at times in that fight (12th espec.) which cost him dearly.

That's your opinion; however, it doesn't mean that you are right and I am wrong.

He beat Castillo because he was quicker to the punch, and much stronger. Also threw one of the best body shots of this, or any other era. BTW - much of the clinching came from Castillo.

I guess you never even heard of Castillo before this fight. Castillo was DONE! The fight with Corrales took everything he had left. Your last statement cements your status as a joke. Castillo was never a clincher. He didn't clinch in his first or second fight with Corrales yet against Hatton he is suddenly the clincher. Right!! :patsch

Watch the fights bonehead - don't just read anti-Hatton articles and use them to substantiate your argument.

You really shouldn't be calling people names because they don't share your stupid views. You might want to start using your mouth in a more productive manner instead of using it as a sperm bank, idiot.

As many have already pointed out, this thread is not to be taken seriously. Hatton has spent the duration of his career beating what is for the most part quality opposition and accumulating titles of one kind or another. Using the Mayweather loss to discredit him is about as discrediting as the attempt itself. PBF is the concencus pound for pound best in the world. There are worse things in life then acquiring a loss from someone with such recognition.

Ricky Hatton is by no means whatsoever a joke......
