Hatton is a pressure fighter but have you seen anyone went toe-to-toe w/ Pac & won?!

Objectively speaking, the only way to maybe neutralize Pacquiao is by technically boxing the man. Ricky Hatton is a brawler and at this stage of his career can never become a boxer. Hitman is also of a disadvantage in terms of arm length, 20" as against 25" of the Pacman. I'm sorry my British friends but I see a massacre from a mile out...

Agreed. Hatton runs into too many left-hands and get's stopped. Plus he may get busted up easier with losing so much weight for fights. It's going to catch up to him.

    Agreed.

I can only see a sustained and horrible beating for the Manchester brawler. I don't think he'll just get knocked out quick because Pacquiao isn't a huge puncher here, so its gonna look brutal.

Yup. Mallignagi was schooling Hatton in round one with jabs. Pacquiao's jabs and counters nowadays are probably tenfold to that of Paulie. Remember guys, Pac KOed 3 Mexican legends now, JMM was the only lucky one but he had to kiss the canvass 4 times doing so...

True, Pac is too fast on the inside with short crisp shots. Hatton will need to hit and hold, hit and hold. This style has taken him far and he will definately need it against Pac. If Hatton tries to be a boxer he will get knocked out.

Remember Morales backed Pacquiao up when he went toe to toe in the 1st fight & Morales didnt have as much size on Pac back then as Ricky does now.... dont get me wrong, Morales skillset was far superior to Hattons & Pac had his best moments when Erik stopped boxing technically but the fact still remains that if Pac cant put any sort of dent in Hatton, he is in for a long night.

I still cant call this one right now... all I can say is it COULD be `fight of the year` stylewise.

To count Hatton out is crazy but at the same time I wont be shocked by a KO either way or a points win - wide or close - either way, its that type of fight.

Very interesting fight & it should let us know exactly where Pacman stands as far as being capable of sharing a ring with Floyd Mayweather.

Uh, gee let me think, I believe that all the forums said that Hatton would get schooled by Malinaggi, yeah some of you dumb-asses said that as well. Dont try to lie now;-)
I believe that everybody thought that Hatton would get destroyed by Tszyu, also dont try and lie now either. Hatton's record against leftys is 4-0 and he hits a lot harder than people think. Im not gonna guarantee victory, but let me tell you all something, Pacquiao is not in for an easy night and he knows it, believe me......

I have absolutely no dispute with this at all, he is a great athlete and a great fighter, thing is he has never been in the ring over 130 with anyone remotely in the same class as Hatton. Diaz was the worst LW champion I have seen in a very long time, and Oscar at 147 was the definition of shot. If you think that Munchkin will roll through Hatton the same way he did against Oscar then you and the diminutive one are in for a very rude awakening.
