Hatton is a 'Value for Money' fighter imho

I've seen it written many times that Hatton out boxed Urango, and it being used as a stick to beat the alleged quality of Urango down with.

 

No loss to me chief, if you're pathetic enough to mean that, then good luck to you. Don't give a **** personally. You expect me to take YOU seriously with your 'let's laugh him off the board' nonsense? That's toe curling man. Embarassing in the extreme.

You are right though, all i've done on this board is defend Hatton... well, actually, that's not true.

I've criticised the bull**** that the same old jokers post every time his name is mentioned. There is a subtle but important difference. I've barely stated an actual opinion. Nobody gets a chance with the nonsense TFFP and the like get up to on every thread even vaguely pertaining to Hatton.

 

I disagree, it was fast paced inside fighting IMO. I thought it was quality, whatever state Castillo was in by that point. Shame it ended so quickly.

 

The fact thats all you've done on here shows you're not a fan of boxing you're a fan of Hatton. Thats cool but don't expect to be taken seriously.

 

Have anybody read on the main site about floyd snr being hatton next trainer. Do u really think this is a real possibilty I can't see hatton doing the shoulder roll.

 

If he does do it, that'll be enough to give us value for our money in his next fight.

Not sure what to think, I don't see Ricky turning into Pernell Whitaker. It just isn't his game to take a step backward, never has been.

The only fights he has boxed effectively off the back foot were Thaxton (obviously), Magee (in parts) and Tackie. Especially Tackie, which was an exhibition IMO.

Not sure who could improve him, Floyd sr may be worth a punt if Ricky is prepared to work on his defence

 

I doubt Hatton can improve. Which is why it was a mistake to sack Graham.

 

I have got an Idea what a bout brendan ingle.

 

I'm sure if Brendan was offered 5 or 10% of Ricky's next purse he would be prepared to bury the hatchet and work with him.

Other than Naz & Manny Steward, I would struggle to think of a worse fighter/trainer combo.

 

If somebody could teach him to move his ****ing head even a centimetre it would be a start, but I can't see it happening. He's 29, the mistakes are far too ingrained.

Graham did the only thing you can do with him, get him fit, and he did it superbly well. The big **** up was not correcting these flaws when they were pretty evident and workable, against Mageee and the like.

 

The head movement is the worst thing, as you say. He is quite effective at moving his body, but when this isn't possible he is just a sitting duck.

 

He's actually very quick, its one of his most underrated attributes. He moves quite well.

Unfortunately when you are trying to come forward constantly and don't have long enough arms to adopt a high guard you better move you head.

He would certainly have lasted the distance with Mayweather had he learnt to do so, and he definitely wouldn't have had a near loss to Luis Collazo.
