Hatton- Is he the most aggressive foe PBF has faced?

I dont see hatton's hit and grab style as aggressive. Its more of a mauling style. floyd has never fought anyone that fights like that, hell I only know of two fighters that fight that way. Hatton and Ruiz

 

Mayweather has dealt with aggresive styles before with no problem.Jesus Chavez, Castillio, Baldomir,Corrales were all vanquished.Actually aggresiveness seems to play into Floyds hands.He just lays back and times his opponents rushes.He'll pound Hatton like a drum all night.

 

Actually Cotto and Hatton are quite different......

Ricky does go non stop for 12rds Cotto conserves his attack and makes sure each pocket of action has a lasting effect on his opposition. Cotto is more patient, stalking, and unpredictable. Hatton goes for broke mauling you, grabing you. Both styles are aggressive and overwhelming though Cotto comes in with a pattern and Hatton goes in straight ahead.

 

I get what your saying so the fact is hatton's style is more dangerous,because it doesn't give u enough time to think or pick your shot's,but cotto's style is more easier to figure out,because he moves side to side and against a boxer like mosley or floyd,cotto would get humiliated.

Remember john ruiz,hatton and hopkins all have that mugging style and it throws a boxer off there gameplan and it makes them fight,look at hopkins vs wright,collazo vs hatton,holyfield vs ruiz.

Remember the only difference between collazo and mayweather is that collazo is southpaw and he can fight,so after this fight u will see collazo in a different light,because unlike floyd collazo can fight if all else fails and he proved that against rivera.

 

this maybe the dumb statement of the week. Yeah Mayweather and Collazo are the same except floyd is much better, much faster, much more skilled and talented. :hey

 

I think Hatton as at least as aggressive as Chavez and Castillo. Can PBF take the heat? I wouldn't be surprised. For a boxer of his style, PBF handles pressure well. That said, I also wouldn't surprised if he folded under the swarming; that's the intriguing thing about this fight, almost anything could happen.

I hate to break it to you, but Cotto has never fought Mayweather.

 

For Mayweather to get pressured by Hatton, they'd need to fight in a 10 foot ring. Mayweather has the reach advantage and the speed advantage, and you should expect him to use them well to avoid the pressure.

 

I don't think Hatton is more agressive than Corrales, Castillo etc ... the difference is that Hatton primarely is agressive to clinch, while the others wanted to come close to Mayweather to deal with him in the infight.

 

We all know Mayweather is a fabulous talent. But does he have the heart for a real rough tough tear up with someone like Hatton? The answer to that determines the winner for me

well the fact he went into the first castillo fight with a torn rotator cuff and suffered 2broken ribs in the 2 or 3rd round and went the distance, and then fought him again proves to me he has heart

 

Its not so much Ricky's size but we've seen Floyd handle boxers who were bigger and just as aggressive. Ricky's quickness is the best thing going for him if only he didn't cut so easy.

U mean body shot's,if u watch floyd likes guy's to hit him to the body so he can throw his right uppercut,but i truly think the only fear in the fight is how many body-shot's will mayweather be will to take.De la hoya doesn't commit to the body-punching like hatton,because he's to busy trying to land the left hook,mayweather doesn't protect the body well,just look at his fight's with chavez,hernandez,de la hoya,sosa and castillo.I think floyd will get hurt with a bodyshot or bodyshot's and this will make it a very good fight,because floyd will be forced to fight,because if he uses his leg's too much after getting hurt to the body,they will eventually give out on him.
