Going out with your friends for a drink hardly qualifies himself for being like 99% of the british populace. Its pretty much like saying "well i go food shopping so im just one of you really." I mean guess what guys Floyd goes out with his friends too! The shock and horror on my face when i first learned this..:scaredas:

Ok let me reword it. It changes people and most of the time for the WORST but not in Hatton's case. There are many others of course but he is a prime example.

He lives in the same area, has the same friends, doesn't go flashing his money around in public and does a lot for charity.

Ok, I admit he goes on about it a bit but that's his only downfall there. Much better than acting like someone like PBF don't you think?

That's kind of the point mate.

He is a world famous, world class boxer with a **** load of money but it hasn't gone to his head. He still has the same mates, drinks in the same pubs, lives in the same area, etc etc.

Your post made me giggle a bit.

P.s. He is going on about it a bit too much but that is what the media want from him. Me and my mate, the other day, were ****ing about with impressions of Rick and the "I'm just one of the lads" routine.

I dunno, you can't blame him, it's important to him.

The only person making any noise in this fight is Hatton. His been talking incessantly.Doesnt sound like a modest "down to earth" guy to me. His on SKY now saying his going to KO Floyd now.Such modesty!

Modesty is Sugar Shane.Modesty is Migeul Cotto.Hatton isnt as good as either of those 2 fighters nor as modest.

Yes, because most boxers wouldn't say that would they

I'd be worried if he wasn't saying anything different.

They said the same about Sugar Ray Robinson. Sugar Ray Leonard. Ali. Mike Tyson and the "Galveston Giant". There all in the HOF.And certified ATG`s at the pinnacle of the sport.

I can not see anybody looking back on Floyd's attitude with a fondness.

Meh, I am just interested in the fight.

what point are you making here?

'the prince' is one of the most underrated boxers on ESB, maybe that is what you are getting at. :think

Negative.Re read the previous posts.Everyone here is bitching about Floyds arrogance. Nas was even more arrogant than Floyd and half as talented but history WILL be kind to him.The same goes for Floyd.Thats the point im making.

When ricky got mugged on holiday a few years back in either brazil or india(cant remember now),the guys nicked his rolex watch, and he was so cool about it in a interview later,he said "no way im dying for a watch",and "there was about 6 of them with knives,i aint that stupid to make a issue out of it"
Which shows he just like most of us would be in that situation, you alls know some fighters would try to make it look like they were big and cool,he did not even try

i agree on floyd but not with naz. peoples sense of reason goes out the window when it comes to hamed, very few people on this forum are willing to defend him.

his opposition are written off as bums, his unifying of the major titles and domination of a division for 5/6 years are ignored, the fact he was fighting above his natural weight ignored and it is constantly claimed than when he stepped up he failed, he gets more **** than 99% of past fighters on this forum.

I think that Floyd is in a league of his own as far as his attitude goes.

I do not view it as arrogance, but something far deeper that is dominating him.

He does not give the impression of being fully in control.
