I was out drinking in your neck of the woods on Saturday...in some area called Clapton. Never been there before. East London feels more like Manchester than the rest of London, particularly more so than West London.

True; a lot of people try to compare Hatton to chavs, but he's not. He's the model of an ambitious yet down-to-earth, partying yet polite, determined yet friendly, cheeky but respectful Manchester lad which provides a REAL role model to kids growing up today, rather than these American-imitating self-destructing gang-bangers who are all the rage today.

Hatton is the epitomy of what George Orwell admired in the "northern" working class: a strong belief that someone should be good, just not all the time.

well OK and I agree Hatton does seem a decent enough guy, but he sounds a right prat by going on about this humble lad stuff all the time. And then he has the nerve to imply Mayweather is boring and repetetive! Hatton does exactly the same thing but with slightly more wit. It got really tiresome a long time ago, about the time he said he was probably gonna have a hangover going to colect his MBE from the queen and he was only back from Tenerife that morning.
