Weak to counter left hooks, still walking into them like a moron:-( How do you not prepare and adjust to the punch that knocked you out? The next QUALITY fighter he fights is gonna knock him out. A Mayweather rematch would actually end sooner than the first time. Hatton made no adjustments and was almost knocked out by a guy that hasn't fought in 15 months and his face actually looked worser after this fight than after the Mayweather fight:lol:

Almost knocked out? **** did you only watch the 15 seconds that Hatton was mildly hurt, and fail to notice the other 35 minutes and 45 seconds of beatdown?

He swings that left hook and got countered by Lazcano I think in the 10th, LAzcano didnt have power so he only slightly stunned Hatton. He swong that same left hook against Mayweather and got droped.

Still needs more fights to adapt and apply new methods, this is his first fight after a brutal KO, don't expect supreme improvements too soon.

    Pretty much.

It brought him to the dance, he'll live and die by that sort of fight. Even if he learns to get better defensively, he'll abandon all that the first time he gets hit clean.

It takes some time to fully incorporate changes to your game, so I will give Ricky the benefit of the doubt. I think this fight was to test and see if he still has what it takes to get in that ring and beat a live opponent.

He needs a new trainer, quick! I don't want him to get rid of Billy but he is a one trick pony at the moment (he is actually losing parts of his game), he needs a lot of work.

    Get Uncky Rodge in!

I agree. he needs a ref to show him defense. I don't ever expect Hatton to be a boxer, he is a brawler/mauler, but learning defense will take him higher.

I was gonna make this very same post. Hatton got countered at least 4 times with the very same counter punch in his fight with Mayweather before eventually getting KO'd. He seemingly has no ring smarts. You can see his hooks coming a mile a way, because he dips his shoulder really low and leaps when he throws it. It's the very punch he used to KO Maussa, and I guess he's foolish enough to believe it's going to work against every other fighter. Lazcano couldn't miss with his hook tonight, and if he had any true power at 140, Hatton would have been KO'd again in similar fashion.

Nice one Nostrodamus but you do realise that shoes must be laced for a fight to continue?
At that moment, Juan looked much moe in need of a rest than Ricky and I bet he was ****ing very chuffed he got one.

What about Juan though?! What a ****ing character!
