I had Floyd ahead, and so did all the judges and the announcers. I thought it was close in the first 5 rounds, then PBF was the more effective. Hatton threw a bunch of ineffective punches and rarely landed anything clean. He was like 11% connect percentage I think. Just about all the punches PBF landed were crisp, solid shots and they took their toll. I don't see how anyone could have Hatton ahead at the point of stoppage.
Yeah Hatton just wasn't getting off any punches. He was being aggressive, but Mayweather was neutralizing everything he did. Props to Mayweather, felt bad for Ricky Hatton.
Hatton was not ahead, but it was much closer than the judges had itg while it lasted... floyd took it to a whole new level after the 7th
The problem with hugging fights like that is that the punches are not clear especially if they work in the body. This kind of fight leaves too much for the imagination of the judges as to who won the round.
ring generalship, defense, clean punching and EFFECTIVE AGRESSIVENESS..,11% CONNECTED %age isnt gonna do it.doesnt matter if ricky did it from vegas to manchester..., 86-85 withe point deduction...,no chance at that..,no way rickey wins this fight if they fight 100 times floyd will dominate him everytime!!!!! facts are facts mate..,
20 years and you scored it like that?!? cmon! Ricky tried his best, but he was losing before eventually getting kO'd.
LMAO. Had Hatton ahead at the time of the stoppage? Now I see how you claim Cotto-Mosley was a robbery. You can't judge a fight for ****. The only round Hatton clearly won was round 5. There were a few others that were debatable, but to suggest Hatton was winning the fight is ******ed. It's obvious you look for aggression when judging fights, regardless of how effective it is or not, rather than clean, effective punches.
20 years of scoring and you had hatton leading 86 -85. Well maybe you should check your eyes if you had it like that. Hatton is aggresive yes...but PBF landed more and telling punches... and he had more ring generalship. why does the fans of the fighters that PBF beat... always say that Margo would beat PBF:admin:admin:admin? is MArgo your savior or something? why not say paul williams would beat PBF for a change?
Hatton won 1 rd...his aggression was not effective...he landed in single digits in every rd...in 1 rd he didnt land a punch....he was getting tagged all night
And then you woke up....and your coffee was cold! You must have been watching the same fight in a parralel universe! Hatton was pot shotted from the 3rd round on. He might have caught PBF with maybe a half dozen meaningful shots in the entire fight! PBF systematically broke him down mentally and then destroyed him physically!
Scoring for 20 years?? You must have begun your career when you were 65. Your eyes and brain are now shot! :nut :barf
Delusional my man. People were saying Hatton took round 5 but I disagree. I had Floyd winning all rounds except for round 3 and 4
Sorry, posing and pot-shotting are NOT ring generalship. They're 'taking off the round.' Hatton took the fight to PBF, and was getting the better of the exchanges. In round 7 or so PBF sat on his punches more and dinged Hatton, but Hatton was still the aggressor, and set the pace. What surprised me more than anything was that it was FLOYD who initiated clinches most of the time. PBF wanted to wrestle from the get-go, and that surprised me.
