Hatton looked as good as he did against Mayweather, good stuff.

I was impressed with Hatton. He has had a few flat performances over the years, and every once and awhile looks his old self. Yesterday he looked the killer of old.

I thought he brought the same intensity he did against Mayweather in there. Mayweather of course is a class above, but it just reminds me of their fight...

Hatton gave Floyd IMO maybe his toughest test, in a way. While Castillo arguably beat Mayweather early in his career, I still view Mayweather as a bit green at that point...Floyd's talents have grown over the years, and he has looked sharper at 140+ after he has become more "veteran", you could say. And against DLH, I thought Floyd fought a complacent-type fight, and really had an off-night in a way.

But Floyd-Hatton was a fight that really showed how good Mayweather was to me. Hatton that night matched him in fitness and intensity. Even his handspeed looked to trouble Mayweather. Floyd had to adapt to a fighter who's plan A was matching his, and he did a good job.

But anywho, I thought Hatton looked great last night. Hook was there. cut off the ring. Didn't hold much at all. Really punished Paulie where he needed to. It was a brilliant performance to me.

He wasnt as good against Mayweather at all, he just doesn't look very good at 147, he'd give Floyd much more trouble at 140 though lose a decision.

He should stay away from DLH at 147, PAC at 140 is a much better fight all round.

Well Floyd himself is a blown up 147. I thought he lost that fight for a lot of reasons beyond just weighin 7 pounds above normal.

But I thought he looked good both nights.

I thought he looked average, very open to hooks and straight rights, just Paulie hadnt enough to hurt him

It wasnt a good fight, Hatton didnt know wether to box or fight and he just did enough of both to beat a one handed fighter, whatever the **** Paulie was doing i dont know

I think he looked better last night than he ever has, even in the Mayweather fight. Maybe it was just because he was wooping Paulie though. Mayweather Senior has done a good job I feel.

Hatton looked alot like he did in his best days and should never go to 147 again.

Hopefully we see Pac - Hatton in '09. Thats a Super Fight.

Hatton looked better in many respects, but he's proven that he's still open to getting popped when he comes in. That's something he needs fixed if he wants to challenge the harder-hitting elites.

Now comes Floyd Sr.'s biggest test yet. Can he keep Ricky in good enough post-fight shape so that they can spend next training camp focused on moves, style and strategies rather than simply burning off beer fat to make 140? Now is time for Floyd to shine.

I disagree, Floyd could have had Hatton out of that fight in any round he chose. At 140 it would be know different.

    Agreed.

I think a lot of people forget what type of fighter Hatton was at his peak. Hatton circa Phillips or Oliveira would have destroyed Malignaggi last night inside of 6 rounds.

    :lol::lol:

    Hatton weighed 154 against Mayweather

    He weighed 152 against Paulie.

IT wouldn't be different at all.

Hatton performed poorly against mayweather, Looking nothing like as good as yesterday,
Hatton will be undefeatable at 140.
