Hatton is going to be badly knocked out when he steps back into world class. And he will deserve it too - for being so foolish and thinking he has what it takes to go on. He was right to walk away after Manny Pac destroyed him. But 3 year lay off - at his stage of his career - plus add to that the lifestyle he has probaly been living during them 3 years - this guy is going to get badly exposed and knocked out.
He looks good .Hopefully his weight and diets good and he doesn't have to sweat too much near fight time .I think that's what happened with Pacquiao he's had to boil down too much to 140 .
I've overtrained man and even though only 30 because I burned too much muscle my metabolism is slowing already .
Hatton does not deserve to be badly knocked out, and you should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking it. I think Hatton should stay retired, his peak is long gone and he has already achieved everything he possibly ever could. However, he obviously still feels he has something to prove and wants to go out on a high note, so good luck to him. Despite the fact that I think he looks gaunt and aged, he has clearly put an effort into his comeback and I hope he has some success and ends it when the time is right. Again though, Flint, you should be ashamed of yourself. Not liking a fighter is no reason to say he deserves to be badly knocked out.
His main problem won't be his physical condition, though. If his reflexes and timing are gone (and after a 3-year-layoff, they may well be), his fitness is not going to help him. But I like his positive attitude.
Hattons timing was fantastic in his prime. You simply can't go to the body like Ricky if you have poor timing.
Indeed. I am still surprised at the level he has gone back in at. He must have done some serious closed door sparring and felt very good.
Kayes hasn't got a clue when it comes to training Boxers. He gives them Bodybuilding workouts to do, for **** sake! Hatton's body has taken so much abuse over the years with the bouncing up and down in weight, though!! Pick a weight and stay at it, Ricky!
I heard on 5 live that he's been doing serious sparring with Matthew, who knows what ricky can do and Matthew said to him to go for it, when he wouldn't have if he could handle ricky
