It's hard man, cause there's a lot of distractions around here and the 24/7 series are not making it easier. I am not 50% sure he ( Ricky) will do this or that thing but not being particularly bonded to Hatton or Mayweather, I feel less pressure and that's a good way to start with. I do feel genuinely insulted by some of Mayweather's antics against Hatton but that's irrelevant - I have not openly picked Hatton though.

Ricky will make it a very hard fight for Floyd and an ugly fight for the fans in the US - Hatton is a much harder target to shoot at than Hoya or Baldomir were but having said that, Mayweather is preparing himself ( with a 160 pounder Baldomir) to sustain the ferocious attack n not be driven back easily. No doubts, Mayweather will throw more at 147 pounds back again but I already wrote a long time ago ( ESB article: Cotto-Mosley, Mayweather-Hatton - This Fall, Full Aces High till there are two Last Men standing) that if it comes down to a test of wills, Hatton may take it:

    Thanks for you thoughts...

..but I gotta say I disagree totally with you. For example, the second 24/7, Hatton was very disrespectful to Mayweather regarding his reflexive pad training..even Billy Graham had to challenge one of Hatton's ridiculous notions about it!

..trust me when I say Hatton's trainer goes downhill fron now-on-end. The last time he trained in the stateside I do remeber it was in some UFC gym:roll:...the boy has peaked too soon (Team Hatton covered that issue quick but poorly on the show yesterday) and team Hatton will know this when he faces sparring partners like the gifted Rock Allen (full sparring unlike whatever went on in Manchester)...

Let Hatton continue to think in this stubborn way and he will be retired come December 8th...The Pretty Boy, takes no prisoners!

I think the reach for PBF will be the determing factor of the fight. PBF is just too long.

Brother, I am confident that Billy Graham will evaluate Hatton's chances in real time mode, as rounds go by, and will intervene for Hatton's welfare if that comes to case. Hopefully, they're won't be any humiliation or disasters, both will come out as worthy players in a good night for boxing and for the fans n they will move on with their careers as top class prize fighters proud of their display. I have a lot of respect for Ricky Hatton, the man, and let's face it, Floyd doesn't scare the living Jesus out of anyone - all you Mayweather fans, stop drawing PBF as Mike Tyson, Miguel Cotto, Kelly Pavlik or Edison Miranda, he ain't gonna kill nobody and we don't buy it, not even if it was on sales!

Billy Graham and Hatton are two different people (it was clearly shown on the 24/7 that they weren't on the same page regarding Hatton's diising of the Pretty Boys pad punching)...I guarantee Hatton stubborness will rule on the night (not to mention the pressure from his stupid fans) and thus the beating he will have will just prolong itself.

Mayweather looked real good against DeLaHoya at 154 lbs. Hatton looked a bit sliggish in his only venture at 147 against Collazo. Mayweather is 5' 8 and 71 inch reach, Hatton is 5' 6 and has 64 inch reach. Mayweather is tough to beat when you are in his actual weight class. It just makes it even more difficult when you go one step above the weight you have been most successful at.

Jesus, how many times does this have to be explained :patsch

Hatton came in too heavy for the Collazo fight so you can forget comparisons to that. Also, Hatton will be coming in at his usual fighting weight (around 153 pounds) and will probably be heavier than Floyd on the night.

Size will have no impact on the outcome of this fight.

Natually bigger guy? are you crazy? Hatton has to get down from 175lbs to the fighting weight of 140.. Floyd walks around at like 150. If anything Hatton is the naturally bigger man

This is why Hatton will lose.....when he faces the actual speed and movement of Floyd no matter how good a pressure fighter you are you still need timing and your rhthym....i thik in this fight Hatton be able to find his rhythym let alone timing of those nice shots because Floyd is going to dictate this fight in more ways then one. I also believe he will throw Hatton's timing off by being more agressive...in the center of the ring that is with jabs, fast right hooks he jumps in with(i like this punch as its similar to that of a snake strike its quick and you have very little time to react if your guard isnt up...most of all it fukks your timing up completely even if it doesnt land flush...see ODH fight). Floyd will will disrupt Hatton's timing causing Hatton to be confused especially with his speed because its one thing to know he is fast its another to actually experience it.

yes but hatton is a bloated 175 it's not as if that's his natural walking around weight.copius amounts of beer and fry ups probably has something to do with it.sizewise i don't think there's much between them.

It's not what you weigh between fights that counts. It's the weight you are most effective at in the ring.

In his best shape for boxing, Mayweather is a 147 pounder and Hatton at 140.
