He does look different, but the result will be the same as I have always predicted.

Hatton easy UD or mid/late stoppage.

Being English and a Hatton fan, I hope he beats up Witter before he retires. Not so sure he will bother though.

He does look sharper, yeah, I have to admit Mayweather Sr has done well so far. Proof is in the pudding though, he needs to turn it on against Malignaggi.

yeah he looks great ...hatton is very dedicated ....

it will be interesting to see the subtle changes....he'll need it against mallignaggi...

Paulies style isnt great for hatton...

I think he lost the edge after the Tszyu fight, as if he thought that because the recklessness (thats what it was, and had to be) that beat Tszyu would work against everybody.

In his later WBU days (see Tackie and Phillips) he was boxing the ears off good opponents - if you see the first five rounds against Urango as well he boxed superbly (before gassing).

Sometimes the crash, bang, wallop is necessary, and face it, very effective for him - but a little bit of subtlety would help. No need to block punches with your face all the time against a guy you ought to be taking out using your under-rated and under-used skills.

he was great in the urango fight for the first few rounds but it went horribly wrong. think it was urangos body shots, they seemed to almost double hatton over. he does seem to be easily hurt to the body, maybe floyd launching thoise medicine balls into his stomach will help. ouch.

Urango was the first guy I have ever seen land a flush body shot on him - I have always seen that as a weak area for him in truth.

To be fair, Urango is the biggest LWW I have ever seen - nobody has ever made Hatton look that small!

He has a very good chin as well, so why go headhunting?

Well he's fighting at Jr. Welter correct? Those extra pounds really seem to effect Hatton badly, they make him bulky and less mobile. He should stay at 140 as long as he's fighting.

yeah he's too small for WW. 140 suits him perfectly. still unbeaten there .in fact he's rarely been in a close fight there, tzsyu accepted .

    Nah......

To eat as much leather as he does, and fight as recklessly as he usually does, to have only been stopped once is a reflection of a very good (though not iron) chin.

He has been buzzed though by guys not noted as punchers, yet walked through the best of what supposedly bigger punching guys have thrown.

yeah he ate up everything tszyu threw at him, then got wobbled badly by collazo. strange.
he was probably in his best shape for tzsyu though, he knew that was the biggest fight he'd have. maybe he let it slide a bit after . well no maybe about it, he did.

Collazo has more in his fists than he is given credit for - I have seen a few of his fights and often he likes to just coast through.

When he knew it was all on the line against Hatton he really let his hands go, though it could be argued that Hatton was out of shape and sluggish.

He didn't put a dent in Mosley, but in truth how many have?
