Hatton lost focus by Round 10? What ****ing fight was your dumbass watching? The fight swung in Floyds favor in round 7. By round 8 it was all but over. Did you not see Floyd pummeling Hatton against the ropes in round 8?

Thank your lucky stars Cortez didnt stop it then, because he damn well could have.

Widdow, I say it's about time someone put an end to this circus act and fed Hatton his own medicine (speaking of Floyd's tactics). The red did fine. I'm still pissed at how Hatton was allowed almost EVERYTHING in his bout with Tszyu. So the Floyd fight is sort of a revenge. I'm celebrating! Yeah baby!!!

That is what sucks, we honestly can't say because we don't know. Hatton really seemed like he had that fight going in his favor to that point, at least in my eyes, and everyone else that I watched the fight with. Floyd looked great in rounds 8, 9, and 10, I agree. However, could it be because Hatton had changed so much by that point? Hatton really seemed like he gave up on everything he had been doing to that point, and started looking to land bombs, and being flustered.

Now, don't get me wrong... I think that the fact that Hatton and his team seriously underestimated Floyd's strength played a big roll too. I think that Hatton soon found out that Mayweather is very strong, and naturally a bigger guy who he couldn't push, and maul around at will. Floyd REALLY impressed me by making his adjustments halfway through the fight, and showing a Champions heart by overcoming any advesity and landing a beautiful shot like that, with perfect form and timing. I was extremely impressed... reminded me of when he fought at 130 and threw with power. However, as I was stating... we just don't know how this fight would have turned out if Cortez hadn't handcuffed Ricky, and disturbed his mental state.

I honestly don't think that Cortez should be able to ref anymore top fights. Between his "fair but firm" nonsense, and his constant need to be in the middle of the action... he has turned into a guy who wants to be involved way too much. I think that he has really starting feeling like a star in there, and is trying to be in the limelight as much as possible. A great ref should be hardly noticed in the ring.

Nobody would have complained? Man, it would be 100x times more excuses then now.

I thought the same thing, he had every reason to stop it right there. But I'm so happy he didn't and let Mayweather score the KO he deserved and spared us even more whining.

hatton lost because he isn't as skilled, isn't as quick, isn't as good and isn't on the same level as pbf. deal with it fool. hatton did not get ko'd from a ****ing elbow strike. he was ktfo'd because he blocked punches with his face.

poor hatton, he can dish it out but apparently, he can't take it.

Woah there sailor! Nobody is saying Hatton would have won, we are saying how would things have panned out if a different (I.E: unbiased) ref was used?

But look, this is pointless. You guys have already made up your minds and you have your blinkers on. You can never see it from anyone else's point of view, so I am basically wasting my time. One last thing before I go...

:good Hatton was outclassed and outmastered and beaten at his own game. Mayweather proved the master and forced Hatton to be the pupil. Some elbows too from Hatton as also punching behind the head while Mayweather had his back turned and thru the ropes. :-(

:patsch cortez warned them both twice in the 2nd rd..hatton threw a punch over the rope to hit pbf while he was hanging threw the rope that was INTENTIONAL..why even try to hit someone in that position...if hatton wasnt grabbing then there would have been no elbows...hatton only won rd 5..hatton was eating leather all night..he almost got knocked out in the 8th twice..hatton didnt scare ****..

What a moron. So how did an unbiased ref make Hatton get tired in Round 7? Why wouldnt an biased ref like cortez, if he was leaning so heavily in floyds favor not stop the fight in round 8 when Floyd was going to work on Hatton for a half a minute without Hatton throwing back?

You floyd haters seriously have no scruples.
