lol, so you take the word of some biased writer who clearly doesn't know what the figures were for that fight, so just makes them up, over arum who's negotiating for pac, who obviously does know the EXACT figure for the paulie fight, and who in his own words thinks pacs got a great deal at 50:50 and says it will be pacs biggest payday.

Problem is . . . why the **** are the official figures not released until now???

Reason why . . . some people can make stories like this. If this is not true then somebody . . . counter it by facts. :think

    What a terrible article.

    Pac v Hoya ~ 1000000 buys
Pac v Diaz less than 200k buys

    Hatton v Floyd ~ 1000000 buys
Hatton v Malignaggi less than 200k buys

Its simple, no fighter draws ALL the fans - it's always a combination of the two - and if these two fight some one else it's likely that both of them will make less money. 50:50.

team hatton know what the figures are for sure.

    bob arum would know

and bob arum would have and has told team paq what they are.

of course as usual we are the last to know.

STFU noob. You're bungling ignorance and utter cluelessness would make any Hattonite wish you weren't born. :yep

  6. Bollocks !!!!

Nobody knew who Mayweather was in Briatain before Hatton fought him (except big boxing fans) AND EVEN LESS PPL KNOW WHO MANNY IS !!!!

In Britain Hatton has cross over appeal and will sell big no matter who he fights

Where as Manny needs a big name to sell big in the U.S !!!!! GET IT ???

Mate no one know who mayweather was before the fight the fight was signed but everybody knew who he was before the fight started. I've never seen such a media frenzy for that fight before and i doubt i'll ever see it again.

And a lot of that was down to mayweather, he sold the fight well, because he was so arrogant people wanted to see him beat, and throw the whole usa v uk thing in which was played up to and the general public where gripped, almost everyone i know watched that fight, i'm probably the only person whose a major boxing fan,a couple of my mates will watch hatton calzaghe etc but there 30 people at the house i was watching who most of have never watch a fight before or since.

The point i'm trying to make was that fight tranceded the sport in the uk and i honestly cannot see pacquiao v hatton doing it the same way, people know hatton limitations now, pac won't sell the fight as mayweather did, the press won't buy into the way they where, even before it was signed there was reems of stuff about it in all the newspapers yet i've only seen tiny little remarks about this fight so far.

Throw in the fact of the big recession where in and i'm certain this fight will not do anywhere nears as big numbers as mayweater hatton, it will still do amazing numbers for a fight at 4 in the morning with a country 5 times smaller than the USA though

  11. I agree this fight will be smaller. Both in the states and the U.S

But i would bet my house that Hatton brings more UK PPV's than Manny brings U.S PPV's

In the UK this fight will do 1 mill (there abouts) with 99% watching because of Hatton

In the U.S the fight will do 500-600k if marketed properly with maybe 40-50% watching because of Manny (Pinoys) and 50% Regular boxing fans with no major loyalty.

I suspect those numbers are not very accurate, and I also don't know what they are supposed to prove. Given that one fight aside, Hatton is an established PPV star in the second biggest PPV market.

In a fight against a no-name opponent (Lazcano), Hatton filled a football stadium with 50,000+ people. That tends to suggest he is a big marquee attraction.

I don't think this will do a million buys, i just can't see it, i agree that it more likely sells more in the uk than the us though

Sky rarely release official figures for any broadcast (why give away information to competitors) unless they are doing it for publicity reasons (eg. Hatton v Mayweather).

How many UK PPVs do you reckon DLH v Pacquiao did?

  15. They didn't even officially release the Hatton Vs PBF sales, it was all inside info
