Heard recently Richard Schafaer saying the venue for Hatton Marquez is likely to be Las Vegas and the MGM , is this a joke !!!!!!

There are several reasons this fight should not take place there , it makes no business sense for Hatton is the 1st , lets be real after the Pacquiao fight to say Hatton's Amercan fan base will of probably of dwindled is an over statement added to that outside boxing pure ' ists Marquez is not that bigga deal either .

This fight has to happen in England , Ricky Hatton against anybody who is breathing and can stand up right would be a sell out in the UK country wide , it makes business sense , and if this is Ricky's swan song like he says he owes the British public this , i mean he really does , the British boxing public cannot seriously be expected to travel to Vegas to watch there favourite son in a swan song fight , it has to be in Britain !!!!!!!!!

Come on Ricky dont let them *******s get you to Vegas please .

This absolutley stinks of GBP !!!!!!!!!!!

they dont even care about who flies where or what tickets sell, the MGM site fee and the US and UK PPV market is where the money is

That may of been the case when Hatton was a champion and had his aura of invincability before Pac brutally KO'd him (the Mayweather loss was seen as acceptable as the fight lasted 10 rounds and Ricky was going up in weight) but that loss coupled with Ricky's huge weight gain and apparent desire never to fight again has completley turned the public off Hatton as a fighter , not as a person but a fighter .

Hatton will not get the drones of British public he once got turning up in Vegas be assured .

live gate: the MGM will pay a massive site fee to host the fight, then the seats in the MGM will be really expensive. Why you think all the big fights are there and not in stadiums ?

PPV....WHAT this is silly they will sell PPV to both countries anyway this is irrelevant

these vegas casinos pay huge money to host the fights, also no americans will watch unless its on at us primetime:hi:

So even if they wanted a UK fight they would have to host it at 4am

these guys know what thyre doing hattons all about the money

Hatton should push for the fight to be at home as a farewell. If it's down to money you are right the fight has to be in Vegas. What about a farewell fight in Mexico for Marquez? That would be class.

Hatton does love Vegas like a second home. But it is harder to get to Vegas these days since BMI stopped running direct flights to vegas from manc airport.

PPV is very relevant if the fight is being shown prime time in the UK , as Hattons last fight , in the US this is a PPV no hoper prime time or not , yes i agree virtually no Americans will watch this if its not prime time but i mean come on even if it is its likely to have a poor turn out .

The MGM will not have its usual drones of British fans churning out in there usual fashion for Hatton after the Pac KO , they simply wont .

The City of Manchester Stadium will fill out 60'000 as will Wembley for this fight , 12'000 in the MGM , i dont care what the ticket prices are will not match that live gate !!!!!

Influencial people in America are under the delusion Hatton can still bring 10-15K fans with him.
