This has also been reported on the telegraph site too.... see my post further down which has that article.

RICKY HATTON could ditch trainer Floyd Mayweather Snr after his fight with Manny Pacquiao.

Hatton joined forces with the American prior to defeating Paulie Malignaggi last year.
Mayweather will be in the Hitman's corner again for the clash with Pacquiao but cracks are beginning to appear in their relationship.
Hatton, 30, is rumoured to be unhappy with him turning up late to numerous training sessions.
And he may even switch to Pacquiao's cornerman, the legendary Freddie Roach, after fighting the pound-for-pound king in Las Vegas.
According to Yahoo Sports, Roach's agent Nick Khan has already discussed the possibility with Golden Boy chief executive Richard Schaefer.
Khan said: "Richard and I were speaking on the phone and I told him how much respect Freddie has for Ricky.
"I suggested that after Manny defeats Ricky, which is Freddie’s priority, that we sit down and discuss the possibility of Freddie getting together and working with Ricky."
Despite the speculation, Mayweather insists any tensions within Team Hatton have already been resolved.
He said: "Was there a problem there? Yes.
"It was a problem that could be addressed and taken care of without being in the media.
"It didn't need to be in the media and we straightened it out.
    "I'm a no-nonsense trainer. I saw a situation but I addressed it.

"We have a very clear understanding. I respect them and I want them to do the same with me. Nobody is jerking me around."
Mayweather's direct style is in sharp contrast to Hatton's relationship with former trainer Billy Graham.
But he insists the Hitman has required a firm approach to help eliminate his bad habits.
Hatton's lack of head movement has been in Mayweather's sights and he even used his sparring pads to bash home the message.
The 56-year-old added: "I don't play games. If you leave your head there I'm going to take it off.
"I said to Ricky, 'You need to move your head, man, you want to be able to see your kids. You don't want to be hit in the head, that's your brain in there. When you get hit in the head your brain rattles'.
"I don't want him to get hit upside the head and I want him to use the jab more as an offensive and a defensive weapon."

If Hatton is truly even thinking about this then he is set to lose.

    yea ok, fair enough...

BUT what about the telegraph too?

    http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/gareth...es_in_overdrive_over_hatton_mayweather_split_

The rumour mill has been running on overtime in Las Vegas in the last 12 hours. It means we are close to fight time.
Ricky Hatton's trainer Floyd Mayweather Snr dismissed rumours of unrest in the British fighter's camp tonight and insisted he was more than satisfied with the build-up.
Another report suggested Freddie Roach had already been nailed down as Hatton's next trainer. Nothing has thus far been proven. Or revealed. Perhaps it was Roach playing mind games ahead of the fight - having been trash-talked out of contention by Mayweather in the build-up. We will know whether there was truth in it in the aftermath of the fight.
Mayweather dismissed the issues. "It doesn't mean that the camp wasn't a good camp because people had their problems," Mayweather told reporters in a round table discussion for trainers at the MGM Grand Hotel on Thursday.
"I think we had a good camp. Was there a problem there? Yes. But I will say right here that the camp was good."
Pacquiao's trainer Freddie Roach earlier told reporters that Mayweather had been late for at least one of Hatton's sparring sessions. "I think it's a slap in the face for a trainer to show up late for a training session with a world champion," Roach said.
Mayweather sidestepped the allegations, but hinted there had been a disagreement with his assistant trainer Lee Beard. "Why pick on Lee out of everybody? You have all kinds of people coming in (to camp), not just me and Lee. But you could be on the right track."
And yet when you speak to Hatton, he has described Mayweather, in the last week, as "arguably the best coach in the world" and said his training camp could not be better.
The mind games will stop only when the fists begin to fly.

If it's true, it's possibly the stupidest thing Hatton's ever done. I know he has personality clashes with Mayweather Sr, but the man has improved Hatton hugely. I'm sure the change is simply because he thinks Roach won't go on about his drinking.

Its always been obvious to me that the only reason he got with Snr was to get some insight on how to beat PBF in a rematch. That loss is still stinging him inside.

I knew they were going to split. Just a matter of time.

The timing seems a little suspect, especially as it was supposed to have been an ongoing problem. Just over 24 hours till the first bell and suddenly rumours of problems in the hatton camp :think

The first line in The Telegraph article mentions the rumour mill so there's your answer.

This particular line of bs was first reported in the Philippines so I would take it with a very large pinch on salt.
