Probably is but only in terms of his fanbase. In terms of boxing ability he would not even make the all time british top 20 list. When it comes down to boxing he is not the superman you nuthuggers project him to be.
unless matthew sells out ricky and gives him a stone cold stunner while the ref is knocked unconcious after accidently getting hit in the face
I was replying to kurt, who was comparing Tsyzu to Tyson when he fought Williams and McBride, and Ali when he fought Holmes and Berbick... Big difference is Tsyzu wasn't a shot fighter, he was undisputed champion and unbeaten in 8 years... Get it? very easy to understand what I was talking about.
OK, Lloyd Honeygan is an ATG because he beat Don Curry who was regarded by many as the no.1 p4p fighter at the time. Agree or disagree ? Curry was only in his mid 20's at the time so unlike Kostya was not an old man. We will also ignore Currys problems outside the ring just like you have ignored Kostya's desire to retire after the 2nd Mitchell fight. Man you talk bollacks and you know it but to lick Hattons nuts you will say anything and I bet would even become a ladyboy if Hatton asked you.
I remember in 2003 when they were trying to set up a Hatton-Witter and put them both on Showtime and Sky Sports on the Hatton-Phillips card... Unfortunately Witter looked like p*ss against Jurgen Haeck, It wasn't a fight, Hatton looked world class, Witter looked crap... No fight, Witter's fault for being sh*t.
I've never mentioned ATG, ever. But anyway, that fight certainly made Honeyghan a great British fighter. Not on Hatton's level, because he didn't follow it up with as much, but it was a great win for British boxing.
Who has said Hatton is an ATG? He isn't, but the Zoo win was a decent one and not in any way comparable to Ali-Holmes or Ali-Berbick as you said.
Hang on a minute sleeze. Honeygan beats someone who was regarded as the No1 p4p in Curry. This was a guy who was very active (unlike Kostya) and who never mentioned retirement yet you say he is not even on Hattons level. Bollacks to that Honeygan beat a prime p4p No1, Hatton has to date to beat a p4p No1. The only prime p4p guy he has faced is PBF and he got schooled, so how the **** that rank above Honeygans destruction of Curry ? You can talk ****, you not on the old wacky backy are you ?
If you read correctly, I said what he followed it up with. As an individual fight I rate Honeyghan's win higher. But Hatton done more after his win, imo.
You sure are right Hatton is not an ATG and he never will be. He may have lots of shills behind him but his boxing ability is limited and they do not let any old **** into the HOF just because he has a lot of arse lickers following him. It was decent win over an old man who wanted to retire anyway and past his best. If you want to pretend it was any more than that then you carry on living in your fantasy world.
The Curry win is better IMHO, not by much. But its a not ****ing competition, they are both good wins. Hatton beat an past prime Zoo and Honey beat a Curry who may (probably) have been weak at the weight. Both good wins.
What has Hatton done after the Kostya fight ? Carlos "Mr Bean" Mausa (Yes real tough fight), Collazo (who may think beat Hatton), Urango (the less said the better), Castillo (well past his best), PBF who totally schooled Hatton. People talk about JC schooling Lacy but at least Lacy had the heart to last 12.
