You dislike Hatton because his fans don't know about boxing? Arrogant?? He isn't arrogant, I know the guy to say hi to and i've spoken to him many times one to one, how many conversations have you shared with him? Or are you making this judgment on his TV interviews which is hardly a natraul place to converse..... Carl Froch is an endearing example of arrogance. Overrated??? He's 43-0 and the undisputed linear champion and one of the top p4p fighters in the world and he's earned this accolade by beating good fighters. Ducker??? Who's he ducked- Witter? Come on this fight will be made when it makes sense and up until Witter shining against Harris the match made no sense at all.

All I know is he comes across as a bit of an arrogant git in the interviews, then tries to paper over it with all this jack the lad bollocks for the 1345734894th time.
Why did the Witter fight make no sense? It's made sense for aq long time and Witter even offered to step in at late notice on one occasion...it made a lot more sense that most of Hatton's handpicked fights. Only Hatton's excuses for the fight not happening kept changing, it's pretty obvious he's tactically avoided Witter.

When I say overrated I'm not saying he's not a good fighter....I'm saying he's OVERRATED. So when you go on about him being top 10 p4p, this champ and that champ you're making my point for me. I don;'t think he is top 10 p4p...he's been carefully maneouvred, timing it right on taking name fighters.
If he puts on a good show against Mayweather I will admit to getting him wrong, but I fully expect Hatton to get busted up and exposed. Lets see Jeff :thumbsup

Jeff I don't know what Avatar bets are but I am stone cold certain that PBF will do Hatton that I am happy to bet a you a cool £100 if you are prepared to take the bet. Lots of people are picking Hatton in Britain but not 1 person I have met is prepared to bet me that PBF wins. I think that there is a lot of wishful thinking going on and Hatton is being attributed with fighting qualities he does not possess. Like PBF said Hatton has a glaring weakness which will be exposed in the fight and I don't mean his cuts or the fact that he has been put on the deck. All will be revealed during the fight.

 

A cool £100 ..... you sound more and more like pretty boy. lol.... An avatar bet is the picture you have on your profile- that is much more affordable for a pauper like myself.

 

Jeff I don't believe a word of it. You are probably claiming to be a pauper so that the tax man can't get after your hard earned dough. I must say mate I am really excited about this contest. It reminds me of when we were kids watching the likes of Duran, Hearns, Benitez, Ali, Frazier etc.

well to be fair you've always been consistent,although you did show momentarily weakness when your dislike of mayweather almost overtook your dislike of wicky! i've always found it difficult to see how hatton could win this fight,call it false sassenach optimism but as it draws closer i'm starting to fancy hatton for this.i just think an at his best ricky hatton,and he will be at his best on saturday night has a lot more to his game than many people give him credit for.i think he can give floyd all the trouble he can handle.however it will not break my heart if mayweather wins,i'm a great admirer of the guy,he's a magnificent fighter.

What the article doesn't make reference to is that Hatton always seems to refer to himself in the 3rd person....I've always said only dicks do that...Lennox Lewis used to do it and it was a massive turn-off.
