I think it's clear Hatton has been the one getting riled. Every interview he's given he gets really defensive "Ooooh it's Floyd that's the scared one not me, I'm just my usual great witty self, you know, the guy who still hangs with the same friends down the pub" bla bla bla. Almost like he's trying to convince himself.
Watching Hatton speaking at that presser the first thought in my head was that he was quite nervous - I think he got a huge dump of adrenalin in his bloodstream as he took the podium, and hence was a bit stilted in his speech, but he showed Mayweather respect, and stood his ground when Mayweather tried to play silly buggers at the face off. I think he was still pumped when he was interviewed afterwards, hence him coming out with the usual "I'm my usual witty and funny self". Like others have said on here, Hatton is transmogrifying into his fightnight state - he's probably not too keen on the cameras being around just now, but at least he's making the effort to remain civil instead of brushing people off. He looks psyched in the face off photos, he's got a right evil little smirk on his face, like he wants to hurt Mayweather bad :yep
You are right, I get them from time to time if I'm stressed or under the weather. If he's stressed out it could be a good thing for him actually once he unleashes all that stress on Floyd's ribcage
People acting like Floyd was shaken up..... That's ridiculous, if anyone was shaken up there it was Ricky. That throat slitting gesture was pathetic, he looked nervous as hell and did it in a split second looking awkward because he knows that's not him. Hatton is trying so hard to convince himself, talking about how the fight is so close, i really think the occasion is getting to him, he's realising what he has got himself into. I hope Floyd gets knocked out but as this fight gets closer the more i think Floyd is going to dominate.
All i know is that im hyped. I cant get into psycho-analyzing them... physically if they are ready thats all that counts. I dont think either guy has won the war upstairs just yet.
Oh brother, when a guy tries to indimidate you, u have to to do something back to upset his advance and make him uncomfortable whether its in your character or not. ITs called bully psychology. He wants you to be submissive in a situation like that, right. Well then don't give him what he wants! Sting him back. Mayweather was the one smarting from that scuffle. He thought Ricky was gonna stand there and take it. Ricky played it right. With a big smile on his face.
If that's the case why didn't Ricky react when Floyd PUSHED HIM WITH HIS HANDS and went back in his face?.. that's even more disrespectful than Floyd just leaning on him, i remember when Hopkins got pushed off the stage onto the floor, he went on to beat the daylights out of that opponant!!.. Ricky's the one who's whole "nice guy" image is changing before everyones eyes, the mans clearly nervous as hell.
Ricky did react but he used his strength and did not use his hands mayweather was the one backing up.
