hatton would win at light welter his faster fitter and stronger in that division and mayweather would really struggle at that weight against hatton.size wouldnt make a difference in this fight and hatton would not be tired and he would beat mayweather what more can i say its hattons kingdom

Hatton had several opportunities to fight Floyd at 140 but he already knew what the outcome would be.

If this bout were at junior welterweight, Floyd would have let his hands go more and the outcome would have been the same, only sooner.

It wouldn't have mattered much. Floyd isn't a big welterweight himself. Floyd has adjusted better to welter, but he's just more skilled, smarter, faster, better conditioned, etc...

There is no proven advantage to fighting in close proximity to your home.
The only advantage would be having the crowd on your side, and having the crowd motivate you, discourage the opponent, and possibly influence the judges.
In this case The crowd was singing "There's only one Ricky Hatton"
    And booing the National anthem.
As far as the weight issue I agree. That is what makes the fighters than can conquer other weight classes great.

You are right in that getting KO'd does not mean automatically you should retire. But if you have beaten every one that matters and then fought the very best and lost; anything else is just going to be going over old ground or a backward step. Hatton is a Sterling Millionaire many times over, he does not need to box anymore. He has fame and his reputation is very sound, so why continue?

hatton came in the fight 145 the same weight he weighs at jr ww, pbf walks around at 147 and fights at 147.

the only thing hatton did was underestimate mayweathers power as alot of people do.

Hatton weighed 154 on fight night. He wasn't packing anymore weight than he would as a Jr Welter (He weighs 154 fight nights as Jr Welter)

Floyd would weigh the same possibly even lighter if the fight was at 140.

Nah I believe the same results . . . the only factor that can change that is how Floyd can handle the cutting off weight down to 140.

People just don't understand the dehydration process...they think the fighters fight at the official weight...

Floyd would just shed some water weight for the weigh-in and Ricky would shed enough to get down to 140 and the would call it a different weight class and people would just find other excuses
