Will Mayweather have to put in the best performance of his career to beat Hatton?

No...a similar performance to the one against Baldi or Gatti will do fine

Hmm, Floyd will probably destroy him, cut him to bits. But, I would not be surprised if Hatton won.

A below par FM would be beaten by a 100% Hitman with a bit of luck.

Floyd is bigger, faster, has fought better opponents and has more skills.

Hatton has the pressure and style to make it a tough fight.

Ricky may not be allowed to hold, hug, wrestle, so many of his advantages will be taken away.

A struggle against Collazo, tough fights with Magee, Thaxton etc don't exactly inspire confidence.

I doubt Floyd Mayweather is worried, why should he be?

Hatton is getting a huge payday for this fight, perhaps he will retire afterwards. Witter will be top then.

Think both fighters will need to be at their best for this one.

Ricky needs a career best performance to beat Mayweather. He struggled against Collazo and at times against Magee, Thaxton and Urango, but he produced his best performances against his best opponents.

Mayweather struggled to beat Castillo (1st fight - many thought he lost), Judah, De La Hoya and was wobbled by DeMarcus Corley - he is beatable.

But the best Mayweather beats the best Hatton. A 100% Hatton could beat an 80% Mayweather though so fingers crossed.

    nothing, iv a bad chest:lol:

What i meant was, a similar MAYWEATHER performance, not how his oppenent performs. I know well that Hatton is better than both of them, BUT think that the huge gap mbetween PBF and Gatti/Baldi is a gap too far for Hatton to close.

Basically i though PBF was class against both those, i dont expect it as easy, but still think the class will tell

I can see Hatton getting cut more than a manic depressive emo, and getting stopped.

    Head says PBF
    Heart says Hatton

Hatton needs to go to the body, even if he has to go thru arms and elbows.

PBF is very hard to hit on the chin.

But one "Castillo grade" body shot by Hatton can turn PBF into a ordinary fighter very quickly.
