Hatton is an A list fighter. Mayweather has proved that he is an all time great. He also proved it in a massive worldwide fight. I reckon he has won quite a few fans worldwide with that performance. His name will be on many peoples tongues now, not just in the USA.
I think even more than that. The fact that Hatton was 43-0 and couldn't move up, and win a title shows how imressive it really is that Floyd is able to move between so many divisions fighting top competition even if some people want to say he doesn't fight the best at any weight. I mean damn. He's fighting damn near the best at damn near every weight that has to earn respect.
