yup but working to be in the fight not to win the fight. it was definitely schooling. floyd just couldnt get off with the too much grappling of hatton. if he did it would have ended early.
Ricky put up a very good effort in a fight he was THOROUGHLY dominated, and eventually, knocked out (by a single shot). He won no more than 2 rounds over the entire fight (although they were both in the first 6). Good performance by Ricky... But as someone mentioned earlier, PBF is just in a different class (a few above, really). PBF's the greatest fighter of this recent generation (or one of, depending on how you judge "era's"), whereas Ricky falls WELL short of this mark. Surprised this fight still gets so talked about these days. But the Brits DO tend to strangle-hold any decent fighter they get, which tends to lead to ludicris remarks and claims like "at 140 and with a different ref, Ricky wins"... The only thing real boxing fans can do to such remarks is atsch
You mean if Cortez would have allowed Hatton to fight using his skull as a battering ram then Floyd would have needed two extra rounds to knock Ricky the **** out.
Mayweather took him to school, on the inside and out. All Hattons bustling was ineffective. He did cut off the ring well, but then Mayweather wasn't moving much and was happy to meet him in the middle.
The end of this thread is a ****ing circle jerk. OK, I will yank one. Oh Mayweather, Cortez did not help you at all. You are a boxing god. If I could, I would have your baby Floyd. I really would. Um, Oh yeah. Euros are evil *******s and they smell. How is that?
How about if Cortez let them fight rather than break them up constantly. Cortez tainted PBF's victory. You guys are really biased. And no, I am not a Europuke.
