For years I have heard Ricky Hatton talk about a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr in the future. Every time Ricky & Billy Graham have both talked about the strategy which they would use to beat the Pretty Boy & it would be same that Roberto Duran had in his epic win over Sugar Ray Leonard in Montreal 1980. I think that is an good strategy but having seen Floyd hit Oscar with some powerful punches in their hype fight...maybe it's best to keep Mayweather on the ropes rather than urge him on in to a slugfest like Duran did with Leonard. Whatever happens I'm sure this will be a brutal fight for both boxers and is by no means a one sided fight...can't wait.

hatton will get countered all night tryna brawl. plus with the length advantage he will be at a mismatch. hatton still has a punchers chance, just not a big enough chance to actually ko floyd and take the W.

    Oh hell no.
That's an insult to SRL and Duran.
SRL is much more of a warrior than PBF, and Duran is a couple classes above Hatton as far as his loose description of "brawler" goes.

It will be as important as Duran vs. Leonard was in 1980.

But Duran-Leonard was a great fight in the ring, and I think that Hatton-Mayweather won't be a great fight in the ring -it will be boring-. A more exciting fight would've been Mayweather vs. Mosley, Mosley vs. Cotto or Cotto vs. Mayweather. However, as I said, PBF-Hatton is a huge event.

I dont think that the fight will be boring. I think It will be a good fight. I think that MAyweather vs Cotto would be more exciting. But I think the fight will be better than Mayweather vs Delahoya

No way... First of Duran had great boxing skills, and while he did pressure SRL, he also boxed, and hit him with great counters. Hatton with all due respect cannot box like Duran, no way no how. If he tries to box Floyd, then Hatton will lose. He needs to pressure, cut off the ring and be brave by knowing that he will get hit. If he can pressure Floyd and get off plenty of body shots then that the best stratagy to beat floyd!
