How much do you think a 29 year old pressure fighter is going to improve?

Hatton has a hard head but he still needs to move it because shots from a solid pro will be felt every time....i thought Hatton's performance against Lazcano was typical Hatton, even tho the commentary threw out the old "he's losing it" ****....Hatton looks like he could do well in MMA too if he learned a ground game....but i doubt PBF will fight him again unless he moves back to 147 and beats someone like Cotto or Margo....

  4. Well the ref did gift Hatton some time but I think he'd still have won but hardly the dominating performance it should have been.

You THINK he'd still have won???

  6. He was utterly shaken by that check hook in th tenth but I THINK he would have recovered. No one'ss mentioned the left hook in round two @ 2:25 seconds so far though which suprises me.

I love the way everyone calls that punch a "check hook"...since last December. You never heard those words on ESB before that.

  9. Would "Left Hook" appease your majesty?

I'm genuinely not arsed.....if you want to use 'check hook' in order to attempt to appear more knowledgeable then feel free...

Tyson style works better at HW specially when your on average 6"+ shorter than your opponents and about twice faster with power to unleash. All 3 which Hatton doesnt have. Hatton is as good a fighter he can be IMO.

Hatton doesn't have the right physical gifts to benefit from D'Amato, IMO.

Jeez, I'm going to have to disregard some of the more repetitive, tiresome posts......

I wonder if it will be too late to try and alter Hatton's style. He is nearing the end of his career now and Graham has already drummed into Hatton a certain method of fighting. I like the idea of Lee Beard ? to the camp but to look to refine Ricky to be elusive just wont happen in my opinion. He should have done it a few years ago for it to be successful. You always hear Graham berating Ricky for smothering his own work so in my opinion he knows what he is on about. I feel that for Hatton to show the types of improvement you mention, will take a few fights / training camps for it to be a success. I just don't think Hatton has the time.
