That sounds like sour grapes from an astute pom max atsch the team has been successful until they faced the P4P worlds best. Hatton is a tough guy with a warriors mentality which brings with it certain limitatuions. Mayweather exposed those limitations. Hatton in my book will never win against a Mayweather type fighter, especially in that division. He has done well, but beating an aging out of it Kostya shouldn't catapult him into fighting the elite in other divisions. It was Hatton's own call to fight Mayweather not his coaches. :smoke
How Is It sour grapes? Read my past posts on the fight and you will see I thought Floyd would win and I don't care If Hatton lost, I actually became a fan of Floyd so I ain't bitter. Do not misunderstand and don't call Mother England poms when It was you guys who were used as prison coloneys.:deal Hatton's been with him since he was 18. I thought you were Irish anyway, what are you doing using pom?
No! Billy Graham is a sound trainer. He's taken Ricky Hatton to the near-pinnacle of his profession in Ricky boxing the best fighter in the world. It's very easy to say Hatton needs to change trainers having suffered his first pro loss, but that nearly always happens in boxing. Not only does he train Hatton, but Graham also trains Matthew Hatton & Matthew Macklin. Both are good fighters & have progressed under Billy Graham. Graham is actually one of the few trainers around who is willing to listen to other's methods, see if it can benefit any of his stable, then take that on board. For example, we all know about the myth about boxers lifting weights, but Billy sought advice from Kerry Kayes on strength building & diet, nutrition, weight management, etc. Besides, Billy & Ricky are like father/son, so it's nearly certain Graham will remain Ricky's trainer until he retires, which I hope will be the case.
Oh, since 18? Well thats makes the differance:huh they work well together with Hattons limitations, why wouldn't they stay together? They obviously respect each other, thats all they need.
No he doesn't. It would not matter who Hatton had as a trainer he would always lose to PBF, because Hatton is a world class fighter whilst PBF is an ATG fighter who is up there as one of the best who has ever laced up a pair of gloves. Hatton could still move back down and win all the belts at 140 in my opinion, he is too short and with too small a reach to operate above 140 very effectively and he still made most of the rounds competetive against a living legend.
atsch atsch atsch HAtton didnt lose cause of bad training. he simply lost cause he just doesnt have enough to win at this level. end of story.
