Why do people still laugh at him for this?

He went head to head with the best p4p, and going into each fight he merely acknowledged that fact.

He was the best in his division and he lost two fights against the very best fighters in the world. Ricky deserves a lot more respect than he's getting here.

The irony is those who have a go at him would have worshipped him as a god if he would have won just one of those fights.

Dont need to happen at 140, anyway Hatton should stay retired he's done everything he can in boxing and should focus on promoting, and maybe a bit of coaching if he wants to keep fit. (Dont look like it though)

He's been getting involved in training, so this is probably why he was in the ring rather than full flooded sparring.

Because he tried to claim that it was a liniear title rather than, as it is, a rather subjective idea.

If you beat the best then you become the best, don't you?

Whoever is deemed to be the best is not automatically the best as there will be many other factors to be taken into account.

If Ricky had beaten Floyd then most fans would have declared that Pacquaio was the P4P champ and if Hehad beaten Pac Man many would have claimed that he, Pacquaio, had merely reached a division where he couldn't operate at and still regard him as the P4P king.

That's not logical; the P4P no1 is in front of you in the ring and you're at his weight. If you beat him then you think most people would consider someone else to be no1? No. If you beat the man then you are the man.

The so called P4P title isn't lineal. If it was how could a heavyweight or straweight possibly claim it whilst Pacquiao or Mayweather 'held' it? Where's the so called linearity between Roy Jones Jr and Pacquiao?
