I think Hattons key to victory is surprising Pac with his speed, and being able to get Pac on the ropes....which I'm not sure he can do either.
One thing can be taken to the bank though, Pac is in for a serious fight for as long as this lasts. Hatton is NOT gonna just sit there straight up like Oscar did, he is lower, much faster on his feet and MUCH busier and more physical.
Hatton needs to turn this is into an all out back alley brawl. Bring the elbows, bum rush, wrestle, shove his head in Pac's face, tie up Pac, throw him around, and push the rules to the brink of point deductions.
Are you kidding me? These arent my assertions there yours. Pac fights within the rules Hatton does not. Is that fair?
You mean like the clinic he put on vs Pavlik? Or Tarver? Or Tito? Or DLH? Yeah id say they were alot diffrent. Iv never seen Hatton put on a boxing clinic.
If Hatton suddenly discovers how to get close to Pacquiao without getting hit too cleanly, cut the ring off and trap him onto the ropes, and then throw short, hard up&down combos, I think he's gonna give Manny a lot of trouble.
Hopkins supposedly instigated a record number of clinches in the calzaghe fight. He likes to fight on the borderline of the rules.
Im glad you said SUPPOSEDLY. On watching that fight i saw a mess from both fighters. That being said i scored it to Hopkins and not the phantom blows that Joe was landing. Either way Hopkins is a well schooled wiley vet. Hatton simply breaks the rules and flouts the rules and then complains when he thinks he hasnt gotten a fair shake.
