Were you suprised by Bradley beating Witter. "In some ways I was but Tim Bradley had a good amateur career and once he fathomed out the style of Junior Witter and became effective with those fast hands and combinations he looked like he was always going to win. I had Bradley winning by four rounds and it seemed that Junior Witter did not have a plan b for the fight once Bradley started to become effective. It will be interesting to see where Witter goes from here. " Good to see ricky gave an honest opinion, and didnt just slag witter off. this has gotta be my first posative Hatton post for a long time.
wow, yep honest and to the point.. I thought he would have just said " SEE, I told you he was **** mane, no match for ricky hatton!"
He went easy on him really, 'interesting to see where Junior goes from here' has a bit of a back-hand to it like....
He went much easier on him than many would have expected, but I suppose he ain't really that type, unless he is deliberately looking to give some good copy. Wayne McCullough gave a pretty savage assessment I thought, read his blog on www.skysports.com.
Witter was shockingly bad and he made Carlos Maussa look like Pernell Whitiker.... but it was just a glitch he's far better then that.
Should that be Bradley, Jeff? Or are you comparing Witter to Maussa? I could just imagine him in there with Whitaker! Blowing like a steam train after 10 seconds.
Bradley certainly has something - I suppose it depends on what standard of defences he chooses. Is it mando only (ala Witter) or unification fights?
I doubt it. Hatton as 4, or possibly 5, fights left 3 of which are filled with varying degrees of certainty and then theres Pac.... I don't see Bradley fitting in before Hatton retires/ gets beat.
Hatton gave the media friendly answer. But im sure he had a right good laugh after watching the fight and Witters defeat.
