Don't do it as a Hatton Vs Hopkins poll, I'm more interested in whose approach to life/boxing you respect more.

You have Hatton, who's a gentleman outside of the ring, is great with his fans, respectful of people and down to earth......but he's very unprofessional and punishes his body.

Then you have a racist thug in Hopkins who's been to prison and is an all round twat, but he looks after body exactly how it should be looked after.

So who do you respect more, the down to earth guy who wrecks his body or the ***** who looks after his body?

From what I know of them, I respect Hatton more as a person and Hopkins more as an athlete.

    Approach to life - Hatton
    Approach to boxing - Hopkins

Pretty simple really. Being fat doesn't take away from personality, you wouldn't avoid befriending fat people (and lets face it, he's not big by normal standards). But you would if they were racist pigs

    However, it's very unprofessional

I respect them both completely. Hatton is a very solid fighter with a solid record and has made a good career for himself. Hopkins is a pure legend who is performing at such a high level so late in his career. Hopkins is also a person who persevered through adversity, and a true student of the game. His understanding of history is admirable.

I wanted to make that clear, but didn't.....try not to choose Hatton as a person and Hopkins as a boxer in the individual aspects.....more of a taking into account both their current packages, who do you respect more?

Hatton's a great guy, but wrecks his body. Hopkin's a *****, but the ultimate professional. Which approach do you prefer?

Does the fact that he is a convicted felon not have any impact on what you think of him?

I actually respect it a lot of Hopkins has turned around his life.

But a lot of the other things he's said and done which are fairly well known just make me dislike him as an individual, although I do find him one of the most interesting interviews in the sport.
