I think the fact that Manny is a Southpaw will be a big factor in this fight ....Ricky doesnt have a lot of them on his resume

I meant that he hasnt fought that many of them and Manny is an exceptionally good one....Its one thing to prepare for a guy like Manny its another thing to actually fight him...:rasta

Hatton fought a counterpunching lefty called Eammon Magee and did initially have problems (inc. getting dropped) with the straight left hand before going on to win.

Could be a similar fight. Hattons learned since then but I still see him getting tagged with quick straight lefts.

Pac's losses or draws were all to orthodox fighters and Hatton is an exceptionally good one. I don't see how this will affect the fight, it will just take a round or two to settle after ad******g but it works both ways.

Is Pacquiao a good backfoot fighter? If he is then Hatton is screwed. Hatton has this "I dont care" attitude in the ring. You hit him and its still fine with him. He goes straightforward but he does not do it as slow as David Diaz. He has good footwork and cuts the ring rather quickly.

Well, I guess this says it all.
It'll come down to stylistic choice after all. I pick Manny for his speed and accuracy but it would be interesting to see how he does against a fighter that constantly ties him up.

Hatton definately has the physical advantage in this fight, this is his weight. Pacman has been fighting all over the divisions this past while, losing and gaining weight like that can't be good for you, as for each fight he's obviously having to change his training routine. Apart from that it's going to be an awesome fight, and size shouldn't make too much of a difference, both guys can punch!

i don't think physical advantage will be the key to this fight like most hatton fans think. if you have been an avid supporter of pacquiao than you would know that he has always been the smaller man in most his fights. the key is speed and footwork. which is pacs advantage. if hatton and pac fought 10 times, i think pac would win 9 out of the ten. but hatton has a punchers chance, if he can connect regularly. this will behard to achieve because pacs defence has improved
