    The Megafight between Filipino Boxing Star Manny Pacqiou and Britain's Ricky "hitman" hatton Is off as of this hour....

    Top Rank Promoter Bob Arum is on an overseas telephone Conference Call with insidesports.ph. Standard today and viva sports a short while ago said "The hatton people have been very patient. They told richard schaefer that tommorow (today) they will be having a press conference to call off the fight"


    arum had informed pacqious lawyer that "jeng gacal that he " has to have a signed copy of the contract 6:00 manilla time. If i dont have a signed copy faxed to my house i cant prevent these people from pulling the plug"

    the top rank people had re-iterated to us the other day that they were able to come to a deal that was 52 48 revenue split from the original 50-50 deal and had raised the garunteed purse adding " i dont know what these people want any more it wont happen, it wont happen"

    trainer freddie roach has also indicated he is upset, over the fact that he is trying to contact manny with no success and no returned calls. he too believes that no matter who manny fights he will not get close to the same amount of money as that in what he would recieve when fighting ricky hatton.

    I'm kind of glad this is off for some reason. I want hatton to fight JMM or cotto or diaz to show his new style of fighting off. Then fight pac late 2009 or early 2010

    Who ever is being the greedy one needs to wake up and realise that this is a great fight for the fans and to get the fight made asap. This really is a good match up and would quite happily go to the states to see this.
