Is there a reason that Pacquaio (or other boxers for that matter) demand more money when it comes to a fight. Especially when its as small as 52-48? My reason for asking is: Do you think when a fighter who accepts less money than their opponent it may affect the way they perceives themselves or their opponent? For example, now that Ricky hatton has given Pacquiao the cash advantage will he deep down start thinking that Pacquaio is a more dominant or better fighter? I know the topic is pretty off the wall but I think some people are affected by this uneven split. It's like saying "since you're the worst fighter you will get less money". It's as if the Pacquaio camp is trying to make a statement by not making the fight 50-50. I am aware that it depends on the fighter (some may perform better as the underdog) but I wonder if this has any effect. What are your thoughts?
The biggest psych factor involved is Hatton getting pissed off, and deciding to blast Manny outta there quicker than i originally said.. I say round 8 now. The psychology then will be very poor for Pac
There isn't much to it. Hatton is the man who wants this. He wants to fight. 'Money' Manny is all about the cash. Lifestyle flashy.
