Not really no. Because your serve is not how fast your arm is moving it is the speed of the ball once hit. The speed you arm moves to strike the ball will be about 15mph.

Let the average joe hit you in the arm and then go ask hatton to hit you in the arm. Come on now--of course its alot more pressure-but too sit here and say that aint right or this aint right-get off his nuts already.

A world class pro v Average bloke in the street. I'd say ten times harder is about right. Most blokes have no power whatsoever. I'd say a decent amateur would punch 5 times as hard.

Hamed and Bruno were tremendous punchers though.

I'm pretty much a fat slob, but I can make my heavybag stand come off the ground with uppercuts and it's tied to 300 lbs. The amount of force in your blows is only part of the picture in regard to punching power. Knockout power also comes from speed, and not just the amount of force behind that speed. What causes the knockout is the force of the brain hitting the skull. That's why seriously strong dudes like Cotto don't have one punch knockout power. It's not a matter of lacking pounds of impact behind their punches.

prolly has more to do with average person having no idea of using their body weight when punching... so yeh, a punch using the body can prolly be much harder than a normal person's arm punch.

Force is defined as mass times acceleration, kg*m/s^2. Why the hell do they give force in units of mass?

I never trusted these researches anyway. They already mentioned that it was 440 instead of 1500 kg, that's a 150% error.

Yeah...I think that film had Drago landing around something like 2000lbs punches. Like Apollo getting hit in the face by a car going 50mph with each shot, ludicrous.

Hatton hits 10x harder than the average man?

**** that means I can grab 10 joey's off the street right now and have them all deck Urango on the jaw at the same time for about 12rds, I expect Urango to be fine for the wait before the score cards are announced. LOLOLOLOL!!!!
