I was checking out Hatton working the bag, and I think I can see the same scenario as when Tarver KO'd Jones. Hatton drops the right hand to work the body, and although his right is still in a alright position to block a hook from a regular boxer, its not quite in the right position to block a straighter punch from a southpaw, particularly one as fast as Pacman. Pacman's left is hard to time, and the angle that it comes at is not easy to gauge. Even someone like JMM got dropped, and I think we can all agree that he's a much better boxer than Hatton, if not a better overall fighter. I'm a fan of both boxers, but based on what I see from both guys, I think Pacman will take advantage of the small hole in Hatton's defence and KO him.
It's not impossible but I dont see it happening. Pacman doesn't have the one punch KO power of Tarver.. Plus Hatton has a good chin and his style is nothing like Jones.
I don't think Pacman's power alone will KO Hatton, its more a combination of power, speed and timing. Hatton is predictable in that he will eventually revert to his best weapon, which is the bodyshot. He will probably not see the left coming, particularly from someone as fast as Pacman. It don't matter if you have a good chin, you will at the very least, be staggered from a punch you don't see.
PAC will win by KO/TKO maywheather must reinvent hatton style... If PAC land a good strait left it would be a difficult for Hatton to come back.
Last time Hatton fought a southpaw he won nearly every round,he'd allso moved up a weight for the first time and was fighting for a worlds title. Never found them/southpaws hard myself,all you hve to do is keep your lead leg inside theirs and fire straight righthands down the pipe,they'll walk into them near enough every time. I think Hatton wins this fight by stoppage,folks are going to be shocked.
I hope so. I saw a short clip of Freddie and Pac practicing their counters. It looked evasive and slick, with a hard, short left to the jaw at the end. Somewhat like a matador letting a bull go at him, go through him. He still keeps himself composed, steps back a little and changes angles, then with strength and grace, swiftly stabs the bull with a sword to the heart and kills it instantly.
I really wouldn't read too much into a public exhibition on the heavy bag. Hatton & Maywether Sr can't be stupid enough too leave Hatton open to Mannys best punch.
