all hatton can do is be rough on the inside, and manny is too clever for that, this is never a 50:50 fight, hatton would never be able to handle pacquiao speed and power, if your fighting pacquiao you have to be able to dodge punches, and he throws 5 or 6 at one time, hatton will never be able to handle that. Floyd made hatton look silly with the straight right, he was walking on to the punch, pacquiao would do the same but worser. this fight is a fraud to boxing, it seems you have already been bought.
how can you say hatton didn't look good against malignaggi in his last fight, the #2 in his division? you obviously didn't watch the fight.
hatton won't just stand in the middle of the ring not punching like oscar did, to write hatton off completly is just stupid. hatton might struggle with manny's speed but could handle his power.
floyd knocked him out with a counter punch, floyd was on the back foot and he knocked hatton out. the check hook isn't even a power punch! damn, you are stuped, this fight won't even be competative, if i way were floyd sr i would be straight with hatton and tell him he has no chance. how deluded are you people its only been 364 days since floyd handed hatton an arse wooping.
you're stupid, you picked malignaggi to win an easy UD over hatton you're hardly a boxing prophet are you now? he handled koystas power, floyd got him good but the check hook and hattons momentum took him into the ring post, that obviously didn't help did it, so it's stupid to say hatton couldn't handle pacs power.
malignaggi fought the 1st round with two hands and won the round, for the rest of the fight he was too worried about braking his hand, hatton needs to sought out his own divsion. bradley, torres, holt and judah could all beat hatton. floyd hurt hatton throughout the fight with the lead right, pacquiao would do the same with the left but with far more power. floyd hit and moved, when pacquiao would catch him flush he would look to finish him off.
Malignaggi was the easiest fight which could be made for hatton. In his fight against Lazceno he looked bad and was shaken by some punches. Before every ppv fight the cash cow gets an fight to look good, this was the case with Roy Jones (against an old old trinidad), with De la Hoya (against Forbes) and now it was hatton agianst Malignaggi. The result was alway the same...
Look, the intangibles of this fight could go either way - Maybe Hatton gets made to look silly, maybe he bullies Pacquiao. For me, it's too early to say that Pac's power has carried up in full because De La Hoya looked like a walking, talking bag of bones. He looked as unhealthy as any fighter I've seen in the ring recently - Being in bad shape can go both ways, it's not only a factor if you're too heavy. We saw a man in his mid 30s who had not been as light as he was last night since 1997. He looked weak and powerless, his face drawn. So I do make Pacquiao the favourite in a bout with Hatton (I envision a late stoppage), but at the same time I still think it's an enticing prospect as Hatton would almost certainly be able to boss Pacquiao around far more effectively than DLH if he has any chance to. And if he lands a big body shot bang on the target, who knows?
oh so you picking an easy UD for malignaggi was correct because malignaggi won the first round? lol, you're an idiot. malignaggi tasted a big shot in the 2nd and didn't want any more, when ever he tried to throw a right hatton got him with a left hook. that's the reason. i don't think manny has more power than mayweather either, p4p maybe but not h2h.
I see Pacquaio beating Hatton quite comprehensively now hes proven himself at the higher weight. Pacquaio does most things better than Hatton. He's faster, better boxer, better stamina, better mover, punches are straigter and sharper, defense is better, seems to have as much power. Height and reach are equal. Hatton is probably stronger in the clinches and heavier on fight night and is a devastating bodypuncher. Pac's also a southpaw and Hatton has struggled with southpaw's
I tend to agree, although speed wise, when Hatton is correctly conditioned I think they are pretty similar, Hattons footwork and hand speed are always underrated. Hattons problem will imho will be facing a southpaw with speed, and Hatton's unfortunate ability to be tagged, with his lunging jab/hook, coming in.
if malignaggi fought hatton the same way he fought cotto then he would have beaten hatton, he showed balls against cotto. Against cotto he was on his home turf with his people watching, so he had to fight, against hatton he chose not to fight. h2h pacquiao carries more power than mayweather, mayweather concentrates on speed, manny concentrates on speed and power, thats why he is twice as devastating fighter.
oh please, hatton didn't let him get into the fight. cotto might have hurt malignaggi more, but hatton totally dominated him, with paulie barely winning a round. it had less to do with how paulie fought and more how hatton did. "if malignaggi fought hatton the same way he fought cotto then he would have beaten hatton" that's just crap. anyone who knew hatton and paulie could see that pualie had nothing to keep hatton from walking through anything he threw.
