We all knew the fight was going to be made and now it is. Just the matter of Hatton signing a contract.

So, how dyo see this fight going?

    Who wins?

    How?

What advantages do Hatton and Pac hold over each other?

    Pac by UD.

Superior speed I feel will be the difference, however Hatton has a chance, I believe the fight is 60-40 in Pac's favour.

    Hope Hatton proves me wrong.

    Hatton: Body punching

    Strength in close

    Overall inside fighting

    Power...maybe

    Pacquiao:

    Southpaw style

    Speed

    Jab

    Footwork

    Defence

    Straighter punching

Pacquiao will win this with handspeed and footspeed. He will keep his improved jab in Hatton's face and have much success with it. When Hatton tries to come inside, he is going to suffer from his lack of headmovement with Pacquiao's speedy combinations, and particularly his straight left will hit him at will. I don't think he will allow Hatton to get inside without sustaining a lot of damage in the process, and I think he's going to keep in and out of range similar to how did against Hoya to prevent Hatton getting hold of him.

Overall this will be a high paced fight with a lot of movement and footwork, and not so much mauling, I think it will favour Pacquiao how this pans out.

    Pac late TKO :good

Speed, reflex's and punch rate with Pac.
Strength is the only thing I can see for Ricky.
    Stamina equal.
Can Pac tag Hatton with power shots the way PBF did? I don't think so.
Can Hatton hit Pac with more shots than he did Floyd? I think he can. PBF just rope-a-doped ans shoulder rolled his way out of trouble and I don't know if Manny has those skills to that extent in him.
I keep changing my mind on this one. But having just watched Pac v DLH and Hatton v PBF I'm going slightly with Ricky on this one. Late stoppage. If not Pac UD.

    How sure am I? 51% Hatton 49% Pac :D

Find my self leaning towards Hatton :think

Pac still hasn't proved a lot at the higher weights, the oscar fight was impressive except that oscar was spitting dust and was so shot he more holes in him then a tea bag.

Hatton for me is stronger and if he can get his shots off, he may be able to dent pacs body (big if) as he seems to head hunt more these days.

Still im 60/40 in this match up for hatton and i hope he proves me right :good

Plus would love to see the pac fans quiet down for a bit :yep

    Hatton by late TKO.

Although Pacquiao will be faster than Hatton, I don't know i get the feeling that while he is fast, DLH and Diaz made him look very fast and very good. Hatton is at his best weight, he packs a punch and will take Pacman into a brawl where doesn't want to be.

For me there's a lot of unanswered questions about Pacquiao. He hasn't fought a prime or near prime top boxer like Hatton above 130. Also we haven't seen him take a punch above 130 and he has been rocked before at lower weights.

That said it's a pretty even fight for me.

i am taking hatton in a tough one, i see it going back and forth a bit, with hattons pressure and body attack being the difference, hatton will be stronger for me....

late tko, close points win for the hitman...

I'm picking Hatton for this one (with not much confidence though :D)

I know Pacs speed and southpaw stance will probably be bad news for Ricky, in addition to Ricky being highly susceptable to the straight lefts (Pacs pretty damn good at these). Floyd Sr. will need to come up with something to prevent the straight lefts landing consistently.

I just can't get past Pac being able to deal with the top 140er. He hasn't faced a real top class opponent above 130 yet. I reckon Hatton will be able to cut off the ring and rough Pac up on the inside, and this will take a lot of energy out of Pac. If Hattons body attack is at its best this will cause Pac many problems, he wouldn't have felt the kind of body shots Hatton can dish out.

So i'll go with a slightly patriotic prediction of Hatton late TKO :bbb

Pacman, no doubt in my mind, probably by late stoppage from what i have seen of them in there last fights.

Give a proper assessment later on

It's a tough one to predict, haven't seen Pac up against this style of fighter before.

I'm going to go with a UD for Hatton a TKO wouldn't surprise me either.

Get the feeling Hatton will be too strong, should be a good fight and wouldn't be surprised with a Pac victory either.

Manny Pacquiao will hand Hatton his second defeat to a Legend.

Making him 1-2 (1KO) against the Legend's. 2-2 if you count JLC.

In my heart though I'll be rooting for Hatton but just can't see him living with Pacquiao's speed.

I'm not sure on this one yet, Mannys a slick southpaw which will def. cause Hatton problems but, IMHO, he has no form to speak of above 130 lbs, his power is only decent at best on the evidence of the Diaz and Oscar fights and he hasn't been asked any questions regarding whether he can take the punches or physical strength of a strong 140 lb fighter like Hatton.

You could argue that he hasn't been asked those questions either because of how good he is, because his opposition above 130 has been poor or a combination of both...

    Hatton TKO.

Much stronger physicall at the weight, Pacquiao has the advantage in speed both of hand and foot, but I feel Hatton can take that away from him by forcing him into a brawl, where Hatton's superior strength, inside work and body punching will deteriorate Pac's energy and speed, and he'll continue to wear him down with right hands and left hooks until he forces the referee to step in or Roach to throw in the towel.
