Taylor got knocked the **** out in the first Pavlik fight in large part because Manny under estimated KP badly. After the first round Manny told JT; "He won that round, but you got him fighting at a pace he's not used to." I just went; WHAT THE **** is he talking about. Pav WANTS that pace, but Manny did not seem to know that.

Steward was also shocked by the fact that KP came right back into the fight after the 2nd round. Those who knew Pav were not shocked by it. With the exception of the Hopkins fight, Kelly has often been at his sharpest and most dangerous when things get rough. Steward had no idea.

Steward and Taylor were having problems in the Spinks fight - hardly surprising something slipped somewhere.

Steward is great at training certain kinds of fighters, Taylor simply wasn't one of those.

Who exactly though? And please dont say LL as id say that was way more to do with LL`s talent which was very apparent since he was a kid. Personally iv never seen Manny really turn any fighter around.

I think Steward certainly helped Lennox make the most of that talent, and Wlad as well to a lesser degree.

I would agree he hasn't resurrected a career.
