Neither Hatton nor Mayweather are big enough to make history in the states.

I'll be there.Casinos mean $$$ so they have the fights there. MGM Grand is not a bad place at all to watch a fight.

I'm fed up of all the Hatton fans moaning about this. It's quite simple. It has obviously taken a lot of money to get both Hatton and Mayweather to step up and fight some one who has a chance to beat them. This has only been possible because the MGM Grand makes a lot of money at the tables on fight nights and so can afford to pay a lot more for the site fee. They make more for fighting in Vegas than filling up an 80,000 seat stadium. Get it?

So going back to what TBooze has said, how are all us **** poor Northern Monkeys going give the MGM the gaming money they needed to finance the fight?

For the thousandth time, because boxing is a business, and Golden Snaggle Tooth Promotions felt it was best for business to have it in Vegas where casinos can afford extraordinarily high site fees.

You need mad rich dictators for that to work. The Mobutu's and Marcos' are just not around anymore to finance these things.;)
