Hatton Promotions - Good or Bad??

I went to the recent Scott Quigg show in Bury, I thought it was well organised and the way they choreographed Quigg's entrance in such a small venue was ace...:good

 

Paid the £2.99 to watch the rerun coz I was watching Prizefighter on the night.

Really good TV presentation and the ringwalk was ace. I take it there was a big screen at the venue?

 

their a good edition to the promoting ranks, more competition the better, if their vying with each other for good viewing figures, then the pressures on to show better more evenly matched fights.

 

They're good but I can see where your coming from Rob. They have some decent ideas and it will be interesting to see how they progress over the next year or two.

 

Yeah, they had big screens, music, interview and previous fights up between contests. It was great and just the start of a bright and properous career promoting, it's easy to see why he may not want to fight and will easy fall out with those who want him too...:yep

 

Cheers mate, sounds like a good show. The tv production was pretty slick.

I've been to a few Sky shows and there is a lot of hanging around between bouts sometimes with nothing going on for the crowd.

 

I think hattons shows a ok but i think they will be great in a couple of years as i think ricky will make a great promoter in time.

A few pointers beyond some already made as to where they do well.

They always announce provisional bills with loads of good fighters but they are on the ball for drop outs and usually come back with some decent late editions/replacements.

They keep their fighters busy and not just doing the bare minimum bringing in the usual journeyman. Craig Watson is scheduled to appear on the Matt Hatton card (not the fight I wanted to see him in but ay) if he appears he will have been out 5 times in 12 months. Andy Morris has been out 4 times. Kieran Maher 7 which is about right for a first year novice. And his more experienced fighters aren't just going in against the typical British journeyman that do the rounds.

That as well. Seriously I really think Hatton Promotions looks like they have great potential and could go far I hope they continue to develop and grow from strength to strength.
