Hatton will do better than Calzaghe. Hayemaker will do better than both. Fwank and Maloney will still be the big 2.
I think in time, they, along with Hayemaker, will be the dominant forces. Once Hennessy loses Froch the game will be up, whilst both Warren and Maloney are getting on a bit.
Can't see Warren going anywhere fast. He's got some good prospects on his books, and he's got smarts. He knows what he's doing for right or wrong, he's been doing this **** for a long time. Hayemaker are bringing an air of freshness with their matchmaking which will serve them well, not to mention the deal with Setanta. They are showing very good nous, because this is starting to attract young talent. They know they are getting a genuine service if they sign with Hayemaker. Look how they backed Lindsay with big money. If Haye wins the heavyweight title its only going to improve their image. I think these two will be the main players in the years to come, with Hennessy and Maloney continuing on the same level they currently are. Can't see Hatton or Calzaghe going far, I'm always dubious until they actually do something. How many fighters claim to be going into promotion? I think small halls will be the limit for Calzaghe, can't see his character fairing well out there in the world of promotion. Hatton has the finance and connections with HBO and Golden Boy...but we'll see.
If Hatton and Calzaghe succeed.... we probably won't see the childish stupidity so often seen from rival promoters - like the endless Munroe vs Dunne - Peters vs Maloney tripe.
i see calzaghe has gavin rees now - well he's fighting on his promotion anyway. i think both will fade into obscurity within 3 years
