Obviously Ricky has spoken very ambitiously about being a promoter he has a TV deal with Sky but there is very little information about what is happening with those 8 fights and when they will be happening. I checked out his web page but like all the other British promoters his web page is shite very little information. Does anyone know who for certain he actually has signed up? And who he plans as putting on those shows?
According to Boxing News this week Macklin-Asikainen for the vacant Euro MW title could be the headliner for his first Sky show.
If Hatton and Calzaghe merged they would have a good, strong stable (I only say this as they have 2 competing cards on the same day, both of which I wouldn't mind seeing)
Let us just hope that if Macklin wins then he gets to fight Barker finally!... and is this weeks boxing news any good? forgot to buy it yesturday.
That would be a decent idea a bit like all the fighters that are involved with Golden Boy. If you took David Haye, Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe you would have a decent stable of fighters, a lot of resources (££££) and also a lot of pull because of the fighters involved sadly I don't see that happening. Another thing that pisses me off about British Boxing in general why do all the promoters have such **** web pages. The only decent page is Mick Hennessey's the other are truely awful. They are out of date, no profiles on their fighters, they rarely keep you up to date with their fighters either in general very poor.
Agreed but even Top Rank's is awful for a major promotional site. It aint hard to maintain a professional website...yet they leave them to look a shambles.
True Golden Boy is ok I guess. I really don't understand why they find it so hard to make a half decent page that you can get information and updates easily from. Has anyone ever had a look at Frank Maloney's page in one word it is a SHOCKER has no info on his fights and almost all the articles are not available. Frank Warren's is also very poor. I never got why they don't modernise and update their pages on a regular basis after all it's a marketing tool.
